Literally, ANYONE can claim ANYTHING and post it on a site on the internet.

Toss out a theory or a belief, just about ANYTHING, and I can find some sites somewhere that someone is posting that same theory or a belief.

the futility of arguing with no basis other than their being websites proposing the same idea should be obvious. and when any source can be deemed part of some conspiratorial 'fake' news whenever it doesnt match one's own theory, than no theory is truly to be trusted as 'real', is it?

True. But here is the really bad part about it. It's the people that it effects. There are too many people out there that are just looking for a "cause". They just so want to believe in something, that they will believe anything.

And the wilder the tale, + add a little hate, the more that will follow. I believe that's why so many people are comparing Trump to Jim Jones. Trump seems to be a magnet for such as this. Since he is such a magnet for conspiracy and hate, he naturally draws this out of people.

When you draw these kinds of people out, the next thing you know, the lie becomes the truth. And the truth is a lie. Or like Rudy G said, "the truth isn't the truth".


The internet has always been a mess. But in the past couple of years, it has become a breeding ground for every wild conspiracy theory imaginable. And they are just now starting to take notice of it. Some things do better when they are regulated. All this crap and utter lies plastered all over the internet should have been dealt with years ago. Instead of letting it become a right-wing propaganda machine.

All I can do is hope that there are more people that see all this for what it really is. I hope that there are more people who see through these wild conspiracy theories than they are that don't. I hope that someday all internet sites start kicking these that spread their conspiracy-laden sicknesses off of there sites. It's already been proven that some of them need a rubber room. Like the Trump follower who tried to bomb the Democrats.

No telling how many people there are here, on Mingle that read that crap that is just one mental step away from being the next hate-filled, Trump following bomber. I hate to say that. But it's possible.
