my answers to gustava's post...
It IS adolescent behaviour to have sex with someone without: A. Discussing the very real possibilities of an unintended pregnancy---are you both in agreeance on what you would do? I was told when I was 19 that I had only the slimmest chance of getting pregnant, and we DID talk about it... thus why his behavior is so suprising. B. Not taking the necessary precautions to prevent pregnancy (as well as STD's) yourself. Not your business on that one.... Furthermore, it is adolescent behaviour to: C. Act like a petulant child when the man involved doesn't go along with the agenda. I didn't act like a child, I've been more than understanding and kind to him as of this point. I had to vent somewhere b/c I was about to pull my hair out with how stubborn he is being. Whats the words I'm looking for? Let he without sin cast the first stone... seems there must be alot of saints among us today. |

in all respect here.... a child is not a toy.... a child needs both parents.... sounds to me like he doesnt want to be there for that at this time....a parent should go into parenthood with the idea of providing the best for their child..... to give them everything u possibly could....
as far as the pregnancy test..... obviously hes not responsible enough to even provide that let alone a condom.... hes not grown up enough to be a father in my eyes... funny that u say that u for sure are not pregnant ... then later say u will buy the test? whatever for? my sugestion is to again one more time tell him u arent pregnant and to drop the subject.... as for u.... many women have irregular periods.. can start going irregular anytime in your life then go back to normal again...if this continues i hope that u take care of yourself and go see the doctor...birth control can help this situation out.. make things more regular... always nice to be regular...u have that option still available..endometriosus <i know that is spelt wrong> can cause such problems as this to happen... but it can also cause u later on in life to have a real hard time getting pregnant.... which u have interest at sometime in the furture to have a child as i read... and the sooner u take care of yourself the better... remember this.... before u take care of someone else u gotta take care of yourself |

sorry gustava didnt see your post but as for the guy going along with the agenda ,he should have made sure percautions were taken before dipping his wick. From the tone of her posts, it seems that Jayme wants to get pregnant. This is what I mean by "agenda". However, any man with a scintilla of sense would used a condom. |

Friends with benefits, no commitment to each other, no protection against STDs or pregnancy = very irresponsible behavior. You say you are only sleeping with him but if there is no commitment, chances are you are not the only one he is sleeping with. To take that kind of chance with your health is insane.
He chose to have sex with you without protection from pregnancy so that is an open invitation to parenthood. Many men think it is the woman's responsibility. If you don't mind getting pregnant and clearly conveyed that then he has no room to be upset. For the child's sake, I hope you are not pregnant. Though many women raise children on their own and do a fine job, every child deserves to have both parents to love him/her. |

B. Not taking the necessary precautions to prevent pregnancy (as well as STD's) yourself. Not your business on that one.... It may not be my business, but it IS immature behaviour to not use birth control---unless of course you are trying to have a child. |

We're only hearing one side of the story here. Same as a lot of the threads here. One has to consider that he may have a completely different view of what's happening. Does anyone ever consider this before the other party is bashed and condemned?

HAHA, I didn't know you could convey 'tone' in a post?....
The whole point in getting a test is to prove to HIM and calm HIM down about the whole thing. On the VERY off chance that I were preggers, which I'm quite convinced that I'm not, I do know that he wouldn't desert me. IF he did, it would be hard but I'd manage b/c I've always managed with whatever life has thrown my way. I've been raising my nephew for the last 8 years and am doing a fine job if I do say so myself. The most important factors in raising a child are love, patience, understanding, and commitment. Yes, its easier when both parents are involved, but my mother raised my sister and I just fine without a father around. |

Jayme...so you didn't like my comment on 'life experience'..ok fine. Another question for you...How old are you, REALLY? Back on page 4 of the thread you state you are in your early 30's...I was speaking earlier on what I thought to be your age, I was going by your profile page which states you are only 23.
Everything you have written in this thread keeps taking me back to what I have always told my children as they were growing up... YOU are responsible for your WORDS and ACTIONS...and those words and actions don't just effect you, they effect everyone around you! Jayme, please be true to yourself. |

I'm appalled at how casually folks treat sex and the possibility of pregnancy. It's not a game, you are dealing with a potential life.

Oh no I'm just being used for internet advice! I feel so cheap and dirty! Yuk! Great now I gotta put condoms on my fingers just to type on my keyboard!

My definition of "Friends with Benefits" = We spend time together while he washes my car, fixes things around the house, and does the windows.

I said that people always guess that I'm in my early 30's with the way I ACT... before they find out how old I really am... I AM 23 years old...
As for everyone that is judging me, thats not what I came here for, I came here b/c I just wanted to calm HIM down and didn't know how to do that. I know in my heart of hearts that he's truely just frightened and doesn't know what to think. I'm being more than understanding with him. To some people sex is not that big of a deal, I take kissing as being more intimate than sex. Sex is just physical release, and the requirement for reproduction. I really do think more like a man when it comes to that topic... I don't take the possibility of another life lightly from any point of view, you are not inside my heart and know nothing of how deeply I take that possibility. |

Okay, everyone away from the keyboards. Take a deep breath (or 10) and relax.
Jayme was needing a shoulder and a place to vent. Whatever her mistakes are or were, are hers alone. Yes, she shared them, but let's not bash her. I know all of you are kinder, gentler people. |

I would go with the option of aborting the guy....
