There are real heroes in the NFL like Pat Tillman and not this clown. Nike should run campaigns with the REAL heroes and not the a$$ clowns.

Nike is not running a 'be a hero' campaign.

the campaign is about believing in something and sacrificing for that belief.

but such a person could be called a 'hero': a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.

there are enough of those to pick one, even Colin, even according to the spouse of Tillman herself and the author of his biography:

Tillman's widow, Marie, asked people not to use her husband's service to silence others.

"The very action of self expression and the freedom to speak from one’s heart — no matter those views — is what Pat and so many other Americans have given their lives for,” she said in a statement.

said Jon Krakauer, the author of “Where Men Win Glory,” a biography of Tillman.

"Pat would have found Kaepernick an extremely admirable person for what he believed in,” Krakauer told The Washington Post. “I have no doubt if he was in the NFL today, he would be the first to kneel. So there is irony about what is going on.”

How I admire you... You would love my friend that was here a week ago.
You two are such intelligent "Black" women that you would destroy..Lol. Real Black Panthers...:)

Pat Tillman sacrificed a hell of a lot more then the privileged Kaepernick. He gave um a contract worth potentially hundreds of millions of dollars to enlist in the Army then volunteer for and qualify for their elite Special Forces unit then made the ultimate sacrifice.

But I guess you call kneeling on the ground like an a$$ clown the same as risking and giving your life.

Kaepernick did not hold those beliefs prior to 2015, I know I escorted him around for a year when he was at UNR. It was only when he started dating a woman with deep ties to the Anti American, Anti Democracy, terrorist organization the Muslim Brotherhood that he got these views. This insane woman got him to change many aspects of his life including getting him to become Vegan. I find it funny that he starts pulling this kneeling crap after they were dating for a few months.

He lived a VERY privileged childhood in a million dollar plus home in an affluent neighborhood. He knowns nothing of oppression.

so is the only worthy sacrifice to get killed in the service? is that really the only type of sacrifice that should be aknowledged? Everyone starts somewhere. How do we know what Colin believed? Did Tilman hold the idea of joining before 2002? or did 9/11 inspire him the way that a trend of high profile deaths of unarmed black people inspired Colin?

White people who knew nothing of slavery stood against it. Men who know nothing of being a woman stand for woman's rights. One does not have to be a direct victim of the oppression to understand and stand against it.

Thats your opinion. Everyone has one.
They policed in the communities they lived. Only difference between them and the cops was they lived with and cared about the people they watched over.

Sure, knowledge are never ending... the only problem is when our 10% that we have available are used to the extend that we can't tie our own shoes or make our own breakfast as any genious have to struggle with as we can't be perfect in all matters...:)

I hope you understood what I meant...It wasn't an attack on you personally. It was merely an observation of both Einstein, rainman, and other geniouses known to man.
Einstein was a genious in physics but not so much in family or in social matters.
Rainman can't put on his own clothes, he needs his father, but can read a book in about 9 secs per page and remember 90%.
He can tell you what day it was in 1236 the fifth of July. He will
tell you it's was a tuesday.
Still he can't make his own breakfast or, as said, put on his own clothes.
We only have the ultimate brain capacity of approx 10-12%.
Just a fact. Within that capacity we can have it either spread out on all intelligences, or have it concentrated on one or two, three, four maybe five, but there will always be something that will lack.
Same thing with all of us... nothing to be embarrassed about.
I'm not.

Don't care if you call it a reward..a bonus..pay..you pay taxes on it so..it is ...income
Which means. The person made money

and making money is the American way, doesnt take away from anything people do that they are passionate about.

I know it is the American way. And he is taking full advantage of that..full advantage

Nah. when you get paid for your so called protest you are then selling it

Cheapens the entire concept.

What this is is a marketing project. To generate sales... for Nike. that is the bottom line. Marketing. And money. No different the a athlete on a T.V commercial selling his or her name or face.

But you seem well informed on Colin so why not take us thru a week in Colin's life. Where is he protesting this week? What shows or radio is he doing to " spread the word" ? Must be busy .

Don't tell me that the guy is just sitting home waiting for more ways to sell his " cause"? Nah..he has to be doing more then that. Right?

So what is he doing this week? Or next week?..or actually..any week ?

so far, colin kaepernick has donated over A MILLION DOLLARS to charity this year, not to mention, jeopardized his career to support an idea that he believes in.

it seems to me that THAT proves that he is backing up his words with actions!!!

THAT is A LOT MORE than the other people that are OPPOSING HIM are willing to do!!!

what are YOU doing to support YOUR opinion on the subject, except TALKING about it?

Well Dave first of all I'm not botching about the current events
2ND of all. I actually have built New factories here and hired well over 150 people .ovet 100 of them newly vetted Americans
3rd I have been involved with my town on many issues to include running the 47 team little league ..and I don't get paid for that . I volunteer. Because it is good for the kids.

What about you. Other then complain. What do you do?

LMBO!!!!!

yes,i am SURE that someone who 'builds factories',and 'hires hundreds of people' spends ALL of his time on a FREE internet dating site forum, like you do,and has to take bathroom selfies to get a photo for his profile picture.

well,I don't just spout off 'cheap talk' to strangers on the internet...
if you want to see how I serve my community, you might want to check out some of my pictures on my profile...
I think they tell the story A LOT better than unprovable words on a free internet dating site ever could!

back OT....
colin kaepernick, with NIKE's help has now gotten ANOTHER platform to spread his message from...

it seems like the mission to spread the message is getting bigger, and bigger, and picking up even MORE steam, thanks to all of the opposition to it from SOME circles.

way to spread your message, colin!

sure it is ... because once you protest, you should not accept income anymore from anywhere ...HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

almost a full three percent of his income donated to the cause since he took that 'revenue generating' action that cost him his job ...

and his income for several years before said 'revenue' came into play

donations that cant exist without getting 'revenue' from somewhere

.,.. keep running the ball Colin ... make that money to make some difference ....

Well, dont you have to be on to SEE me on, while you run a huge business that hires vets and has benefitted from Trump so much?

If you can come on with all that responsibility, whats so hard to understand about me being on?

anyhow, to appease your curiousity.

I work on this thing eight hours a day, As I have have explained before. I type 75 wpm, so clicking on the mingle tab to comment during the day takes no time at all. I work transcription projects, so I can work as long as I want as well, so I type here between projects I have or even during them. Im paid for what I produce, not for the dial on the clock.

so, I work on this thing 8 hours a day. I work where my daughter works, in the same room, to assist her and talk to her about things and be a mom. When her school is done and my eight hours are in, we usually will visit my son, or my mother, or my cousins for HOURS on end. If its of interest to review the time stamps, it will become clear that I am indeed not here 24/7.

I wonder if Nike will take a pic of Colin wearing his socks that portrait police as pigs?.

Somehow I think they will ask him to leave those home

maybe they were just 'locker room' socks ... literally ...

"I wore these socks, in the past, because the rogue cops that are allowed to hold positions in police departments, not only put the community in danger, but also put the cops that have the right intentions in danger by creating an environment of tension and mistrust. I have two uncles and friends who are police officers and work to protect and serve ALL people. So before these socks, which were worn before I took my public stance, are used to distract from the real issues, I wanted to address this immediately."

there you have it, it depicted 'rogue' cops, like talk of Mexicans being drug dealers and rapists was only about illegals and MS13.

Keep running the ball Colin ...
