Copshop - 2021 - 6,2 IMDB rating
Gerard Butler, Frank Grillo It's a bit slow at the start, then it gets real good. I loved it. The only odd thing is that I've never come across this when searching for Gerard Butler movies. I rate it a 10 as I like the story, however simple it is in a way, but it has good action scenes. I just like it :) |

The English - Nov 2022 - 7,9 IMDB rating
1 season available as it is. With Emily Blunt and very short part for Ciaran Hind. A Western, set in the end of the 19th century when the English are already everywhere in the new land, America, and the original inhabitants the Indians forced to mostly unfertile land. So far it's good, but takes a bit getting used to. Not fast moving either, but it nevertheless captivating & good. |

The English (mentioned in my previous post) is really very much worth the watch!
I doubt there's going to be a 2nd season as the last episode pretty much wraps it all up. But wow, absolutely great, and very unusual western. As I said, not fast moving, to the point that many times I wanted to switch it off. But somehow it keeps you hooked and wanting to know how it all comes together and ends. And boy, what an ending! Extremely well done. What made it all work so unbelievably well is the dynamic between Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer. Yesterday I was thinking, maybe a 7 or 8, but having watched it all my rating is a 10, without question. |

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds - series - 2022 - 8,2 IMDB rating
I watched the first episode and me likes it! A lot!! What a brilliant idea to move away from Kirk as main character and switch to Pike whom we saw in one of the latest movies with Chris Pine. Now I've only seen one episode but it is very very promising! |

The Nurse - 2023 - Danish mini series - 6,9 IMDB rating
Based on a true story. Early one morning in March 2015, the Danish police receive a call from a nurse at NykΓΈbing Falster Hospital. She suspects her close colleague of deliberately killing patients and fears that it has just happened again. Soon a murder case unfolds like never seen before in Danish legal history. Several co-workers are now telling the police that they also suspect the nurse has poisoned patients, and some even tell that they have been walking around with this suspicion for several years. But why hasn't anyone responded? And where is the evidence? |

Currently watching Star Trek: Discovery which is set before Cpt Pike ends up on the Enterprise in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.
It didn't draw me in as fast as ST:Strange New Worlds did. At first I thought of finding something else to watch as a lot was about Klingons that look like the Neanderthal version of them in this series. I've never been keen on Klingon stuff. Thank goodness it soon became very interesting regardless! |

The Witcher season 3, first 5 episodes are out.
Now it's waiting for the rest until July 27th, grrrr. It is good! |

I'm currently watching season 2 and it's much better, got me hooked right away. |

I began watching season 1 of Star Trek Strange NW and LOVED it right away!~ Then went to ST Discovery and it really took time for me to appreciate it, almost gave up on it. In the meantime eps from ST Strange NW were out and I watched those, but suddenly didn't like it much? The 1st season was much better than the 2nd, so far. So for me it's exactly opposite hihi. |

Silo - 2023
I've seen 1 episode so far and it's really promising. People living in a huge underground silo, 300+ stories deep, but no one knows why nor what happened. 140 yrs earlier a group of so called rebels wanted to go out and there was upheaval that got sorted. One woman goes out, convinced there's nothing wrong with the outside world. Her husband needs 2 years to decide he also wants to go outside, and find his wife, or not. |

Watched the last episode of The Witcher season 4, also the last ever with Henry Cavill as The Witcher.
They probably begin shooting season 4 in 2024 which means we likely won't see it until 2025?!?! Why do I even watch series anymore? Having to wait 2-3 years all the time, I'll be pushing 70 by the time they finish this & other series. Really sux. I guess I should change my MO and not watch anything newish, but simply wait for there to be at least 3 seasons to watch. |

I really enjoyed the first season of "The Witcher", starring Henry Cavill, as Geralt, the guy the books and the video games were based on, but in the following seasons the show has seemed to make a concentrated effort to put him in the background. It hasn't been nearly as good, I haven't finished this third season and an struggling to stay awake to do so.

It hasn't been nearly as good, I haven't finished this third season and an struggling to stay awake to do so. I find that's often what happens with series after the 1st season. For some reason or other it's as if they don't know how to continue after a successful season 1 and end up doing just whatever. Creating too many complex story-lines and characters that you cannot remember who they are, what they do, or where they came from. I felt the same thing with Game of Thrones but I've also seen it with police/crime series. Too much drama, and losing sight of what it originally was about. What it basically is, is allowing the back-drop to become the focal point and the original theme & focus fades into the background. |

Probably just one season as the story ends with the last episode. With Idris Elba I liked it! |

I shall forever love the John Wick movies.
The martial arts alone is breathtaking. Similar to Keanu Reeves. |

I shall forever love the John Wick movies. The martial arts alone is breathtaking. Similar to Keanu Reeves. I agree, but last times I tried there were too many flashing & flickering light scenes and my sensitive brain cannot handle that. I've had epilepsy in the past, although briefly only, and a whiplash and another accident with head injury. All that leaves you extremely sensitive to flickering & flashing light. When movies resort to go there -often to hide specific things, in the past always related to poor special effects- I will have to switch it off. I've even had to leave shops because of flickering lights, halogen or TL mostly. When I tell shop attendants/keepers they have to change their lights they look at me as if I'm nuts. Most don't see it. I've addressed it on a spiritual forum... turns out a great many -if not all- spiritual people have the same problem. In any case, it's the reason I've not watched the John Wick movies bar for the 1st one. I think part of the 2nd. I'd love to watch them as I love good martial arts, but if that means having to have my hand in front of my eyes to protect me from the light stuff... Not worth it. |

Morning SparklingCrystal, this morning while welcoming a number of the new-ish members, I cam across a lady who's nick is Valeria....
And her nick reminded me of that fantastic movie "Valerian and the city of a thousand planets" I thought it was super and the storyline quite good too.... Maybe you've seen it maybe not? If not, its definitely worth a look in.. |
