British crime / police series - 2011-2016 Rating 8 It was captivating. Also had stuff in it that made my jaw drop. Couldn't believe the law in the UK actually works the way they show it to work in the series. Totally ridiculous. Like a woman with a horrible past full of sexual abuse and even murder of lodgers by her parents came forward about it after a police visit had triggered her memories. It had all happened when she was a young girl and she had suppressed it all in order to have a bit of a life. Then she got arrested for not having come forward with the information sooner. WTF??? I know Dutch justice system is lame, too soft, but the kind of things I came across in this series was close to medieval. Nevertheless, an okay series. I would not rate it 8 but 6,5-ish. Worth watching though. |

Close encounters of the third kind is a great classic with Richard Dreyfuss. One of the best thrillers I've ever seen obviously silence of the lambs is good but the movie "seven " with Brad Pitt Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey great movie! Great thriller another good thriller is "The sixth Sense" with Bruce Willis. Great ending great movie all the way through and the classic line"I see dead people".

Detective Huw Miller is haunted by one case he failed to solve. As he settles into retirement, he suddenly thinks he has found the elusive killer in the shape of his new neighbour Patrick Harbottle. |

I've grabbed the first 3 ep of season 2 but haven't watched them yet.. still working my way thru the 1st season.. I've got a lot of other shows I'm watching but some I simply binge first (like Miss Scarlet) Although not a mystery per se.. Gentleman Jack was really good! |

only 1 ep left of S01 of Dept. Q... impressive.. I really enjoyed it.. but I kind of figured out who the captors were after ep 4..
what I like most about british mysteries is, they keep their cards very close to their chest until almost the last moment.. most american shows give away far too much too soon and after that.. I'm bored |
