The Last Kingdom
Just finished the last episode. Tears in my eyes. Damn, this was a good series! I've seen many series on English history like The White Princess, The Tudors, etc. etc. but for some reason this one takes the biscuit. Personal preference I guess. Some series is more about the posh, fancy dresses, life at court etc. This is way more rugged and rough life, fights and so on as the English kingdom is trying to subdue the Danes. For the most part historically correct. Absolutely great series, with in the beginning a role for Rutger Hauer as one of the Danes. Might have been one of his last parts to play since he has passed a few years back. |

Has anyone seen the show "Mr. Inbetween"? I've seen a few clips that I really liked but it's not on any of my current providers so I'm wondering if it's worth buying or not.

OT - Black Crab - 2022 Swedish. Not a bad movie, quite unusual. The only thing missing is that they never elaborate on who the enemy is, what exactly happened etc. But oddly enough that isn't really all that important for the story, and with that the movie. Having to listen to the 'knΓΈttebrΓΈtte knΓ€ckebrΓΈte" language and having to read subs isn't annoying for a change. Not sure why. Maybe because the movie is intriguing. |

Unforgettable - 2011 - 6,8 - 5 seasons
I like it! |

Prey - 2022 - IMDB rating 7,2
5th instalment in the Predator series. Set in the Great Plains in 1719 where the Comanches lived. I liked it. |

Thirteen Lives 2022 - 7,8 IMDB rating
Ron Howard movie on the 12 Thai boys and their coach that got trapped in a cave, and their rescue. Based on the true story that happened in 2018. I've seen another movie on that event but it was a good movie to watch. |

I can't remember if someone posted this already...
Blacklight It really didn't have much of a storyline, but I'll watch anything with Liam Neeson and leave satisfied. On Season 4 of Leverage now... |

I generally always like movies with Liam Neeson too, but if memory serves this movies was a disappointment. The one from last year or the year before, Ice Road, was a good one though. |

It was a dud But I have such a bias for Liam. Anyone else and I'd give it a 2.
I saw Ice Road last year too. Now, that was a good movie. |

Prequel to Lord of the Rings, The Rings of Power
I really like it! Only 3 episodes so far, can't wait for the next one!! Prequel to GoT, House of the Dragon takes you straight back to the violence and maiming and bloodshed that I grew so tired of with GoT. I switched it off. Not in the mood for all the slaughter and fighting etc. Had 8 GoT seasons of that, don't need more. Rings of Power is a relief in that sense! |

Fall - 2022 - IMDB 6,3
I liked this movie!! Best friends Becky and Hunter find themselves stuck at the top of a 2,000-foot radio tower. That is 609 meters?! No way would I ever go that high up! Some parts I found a bit hard to watch as, even though I do not have a bad fear of heights, there is a limit to what I can stomach! |

Bonnie and I have watched House of Dragon to date, I personally think it outdoes GoT so far, but to some that's blasphemy!

Bonnie and I have watched House of Dragon to date, I personally think it outdoes GoT so far, but to some that's blasphemy! I thought it was a good idea to focus on the Targaryen history. Doing the same with the Lannisters would probably be like "Dallas" or "Dynasty", in other words, not interesting. But those white haired folk with dragons, totally interesting. From the bit I watched I was impressed by Matt Smith (former Dr Who). He even looks remarkably good with the white hair. He's a great actor for sure. Many people felt it being politically correct by having black people with white hair went too far. I agree. Looks ridiculous and why has it become a 'must' even when it doesn't make sense? To me the excessive violence and maiming was off-putting, so I'm not watching it any further. Maybe later, not now. |
