I can't speak for my friend, the magical marvel, but I do think that he is more Infuriated than intimidated.

He does have some valid criticisms.

my read is that he confuses church doctrine with bible teachings, which is a common error. I do know for sure that the bible is in perfect harmony with itself. I have never heard of a so called bible inconsistancy that holds up to good honest bible research. If we can disproveone word of it, then theres all the proof the nonbelievers need.

.. if we can disprove ONE word of it....

Woman, now theres a bit of a hardship in religions....they get the roughest trade....and you cant say it doent effect todays society.....less bibles....more equality.

why is that? The bible law and teachings towards women and men may on the surface seem antiquated, or sexist. However when we delve deeper int othis subject we find that men and women have different "jobs" as christians. we are supposed to work as a team together to accomplish our goals. The man, being the head of the household, is not superior to woman, who is to support and care for the man. Both are a necesassary ingredeant in Gods plan. It may not be a popular message today, but it remains Gods instruction to us as believers. Sorry if its outside your comfort zone.

i take it that this teaching is in fact outside your comfort zone. Time will prove that Gods view is the right one. You may not be as forward thinking and as smart as you think you are.
