Yeah, I remember reading about that as well. I somehow stumbled upon his work when I was 14 and was moved to the core. So when I had to do my lecture, I did it on Vincent :)
I love the colours he used! Look at this one, gorgeous! All those yellows and slapping on some indigo here and there, so beautiful! (it's a large piccie, so I'll stick in the URL)

I may in actual fact give that one a whirl Probably will not look like his at all, I'd make a real crappy forger, my own thing always shines through, even if I don't want it to, haha.

I love the big black outlines he gives everything, his paintings don't even look real, I mean compared to the old masters but they are beautiful in their own unique way.

Haha, if I'd tell you, you'd never forget. It's the only street with that name in both Holland and Belgium. We got hundreds of 'church lanes" or "village streets", my street's name apparently is unique. So I don't easily tell ppl my address.
Although I must admit it's not the weirdest one I've lived in: that was "Holy Ghost street", not a joke

And yes, I've just been working on it for some 2 hours. Me and this horse don't see eye to eye though, lol. So I gotta make some tiny changes to get things to look right. Just gonna wait half an hour for the paint to dry.

I use my laptop with a picture on it for reference, but the screen is basically f*****, so the colours are completely off, it isn't bright enough etc.

Oh well... this is what I got now ... We're gonna have a serious arguement in a minute, lol

I used to draw horses too when young. The legs are difficult with the feet....anyways, you don't have to cut off your ear to be famous for your paintings. You have to die first!

Right now me and the horse aren't communicating, so I decided to let it slide for today.
My son's coming over tonight, so painting will have to wait till tomorrow.

It's still not done, I simply haven't felt like painting for weeks, but ... an update :)

About to start a wolf painting .. Just got comfy with painting horses, now someone wants a wolf painting.. quite a challenge, not sure if I can do it. Painting fur .. and getting the eyes and muzzle properly aligned.. Most paintings I see from wolves / dogs etc. are all misaligned.. So fingers crossed..

Started my wolf, not unhappy, it actually went better than I had expected :)
No proper light in the evening to paint, so have to wait till tomorrow now (And really need to get myself a desk light!)

I have covered my couch with a plastic sheet.. I have painted myself in all the colors of a rainbow.... just sitting here texting to you.... with all the colors of the rainbow .. dripping from my nakedness..... the paint is pooling at my feet.. turning into a brown.. chocolate milky... Lake...
