Because I haven't found the one that I can't live without. I have my boundaries and so far, no one has fit.

I'm single because I live in a place that's a retirement community. Women my age are either tourists or part of the revolving door of people who live here for a year or two and go back to the mainland. That, and I'm shy and socially awkward toward women I'm attracted to. Not a good combo and doesn't make a good first impression.

People ask me why I get asked to get married often by guy friends. I tell them because I pay attention when they are talking.
I am a serial killer...I mean dater...err to be nice romantic. I have never been completely single more than 6 months since I was 14. It's a bad habit. Yet, I am the very first to break up with someone at the sign of serious trouble. I am so freaking picky. They had to not have kids living at home full time. Be around my age or older. If they drive a motorcycle, they also have to have a car. They have to be good to any women in their family. They have to have some kind of education or training of job skills. They have to have a good heart, high integrity, honor, a good sense of humor but no a cruel one. They have to have a source of their own income. They cannot be butting into my finances constantly. They can't think "enough love" will cure my bipolar and they can take my drugs away. They can't take my caffeine away. They can't expect me to be Susie Homemaker and give them kidlets. Note I did not mention age or looks or income. Oh and they have to be really single not just separated. |

The right person hasn't come along yet. It's also not a priority for me right now.

Beacause I don't want to send messages, write letters or explain why I am not home yet. Because I do not want someone calling wanting to know what I am doing or where I am. Because I like holding my own destiny and doing things on my own time line. Because I am not real good at taking orders or compromising on situations anymore. And dangit if I wanna buy a kayak or something I enjoy doing I don't want to ask someone else if that's okay with them......because I just don't wanna
