Topic: What's your type? | |
---|---|
After many years and many, ah, experiences, I realized that I always felt more comfortable with blonds. Why, I asked myself? The only thing I could come up with was that dark-haired men seemed dangerous to me. This is totally subconscious, understand. And I certainly have had relationships with dark-haired men. In fact my husband was brown-haired. But the ones that make my head turn always seem to be blond.
Of course now that doesn't matter any more, because they either have no hair at all or it's grey. It also turns out that anyone with my ex-husband's name is an automatic turnoff, sorry Jims of the world. |

More serious types. Girls that are younger and kind of flingy ( not that age has anything to do with though I do like older woman) kind of opposite my type. Good to be friends with but I prefer less games and less likelehood I am a stepping stone to her date the next weekend.

I like to surprise myself and other people. So over time I have had
a very wide variety in the types of women I have found attractive. Intelligence and Kindness are the key elements. Tend to get along well with athletic types particularly athletic nerds. But I like women in general. They really appeal to me and I have found myself attracted easily and sincerely to quite a few over the years. |

My body seems to go for the tall, broad-shouldered jocks. My brain goes for the humor, wit, intelligence and integrity. I would not rule anyone out for how they look. The package is never as important at the person inside. I would hate to be the person inside a package. "Honey, this came in the mail today." "who is it from?" "Some emigration office in Kuala Lumpur." "Drat. The mailman always mixes up "Victoria Street" with "Victoria's Secrets". He shifts his weight on the divan. "We could use the box to keep my old model railway stuff in it. But the person inside it is not important. Take him to the person donor clinic." "To the where, honey?" "To the person disassembly plant, you know, the person junk yard, where they strip him for parts and sell those for transplants. You know, blood, liver, kidneys, brain, scalp hair, nose warts, bone marrow." "K, honey. You are so smart...I don't know what I would do without you." |

I've never had a "type". First blonde I ever seriously dated happened a couple years ago. I've dated all body types. Even went out a couple times with an Atheist (which was quite interesting).
I do find myself attracted to one commonality though. All these women made me laugh but moreover they "got" my weird sense of humor. That turns me on. I'm talking rock hard turned on, but that is for another section and all. Keeping it real and PG, I find that when I am truly understood for who I am, then I am attracted to the woman who gets me. Also....as a side note....I like to be abused, and....wait....gosh darn it....THAT too is for another thread. (Slaps head). I digress......let's just stick with women who make me laugh and get me. That'll do |

I guess there is a difference but only slightly with type and preference. I tend to find certain people more attractive than others. It doesn't make me feel bad if I like more than the other. I think everyone has their likes and dislikes. Mine haven't really changed. But my options are still open.

What kind of person do you go for? Do you have specific preferences that someone must have? What about looks? Are there specific body types that you will or won't go for? What attracts you to someone? I am attracted to men who are unafraid of a commitment to one woman first of all, honest, communicates well, funny, hard working, and likes to do family things. I do have a preference though, and that is I love the way Asian men look, but I'm not holding my breath for one. There are very few Asian, black women relationships, it's not that popular. I like a man who has a nice body, he doesn't have to be Mr. Universe but nice enough. Sorry, I know I'm a big girl myself, but I don't like big guys. What attracts me to a guy when I first see him is his smile. |

someone who can be a good parent is a mandate, as I have children
someone older than thirty is also a mandate, as my eldest is 19 himself and needs to view this person as a father figure someone mature, responsible, considerate, and God fearing are also mandates, as I believe children learn alot through example of their elders,,,, other than that, preferences are taller than 5foot10, height/weight proportionate, broad shoulders, healthy skin and healthy smile ,, just preferences, not mandates,,, |

What attracts you to someone? I don't have a specific type. I'm attracted to the obvious and how sincere those qualities are in a person, how well we mesh together, etc. |

If she can make me laugh.....she has covered alot of ground...
If she can make me think too........WOW!! Beyond that everything else is just gravy. But I'd be lyin if I said there didn't have to be a physical attraction first. Its just the way we are all built. |

I use to look for intelligence, wit, looks, a good sense of humor, compassion, political involvement and good grooming. Now I find it easier if I just settle for breathing and a pulse!
