Prisoners are treated very well in Israeli jails, given 3 Halal meals a day and education to gain qualifications. People are searched at checkpoints coming into Israel of course - it is obvious why, and sometimes attacks on Israeli soldiers happen at these checkpoints. If someone is strip searched there is probably a good reason for it as of course a person may be concealing something. Arabs in Israel are free with movement. In fact it is Jews who are under threat from arabs with intermittent attacks by rock throwing, stabbings etc. It is the Jews who are not free to move as freely as they would like without taking regard of the threat from the arabs there. There are no-go areas in Israel for Jews who should not have to face danger like they do. That is the problem - if the arabs can live in peace with the Jews then all will be well. However they don't and so just perpetuate the situation. Not all arabs of course. Most live happily and work happily alongside the Jews and there are even some arabs in the Israeli army. Not all arabs are violent to Jews - just a small minority, but enough to cause the problems. |

@ Spider..It already is. It's far safer than many places in the world for Jews. Try being a Jew in Iran, where your whole family can't leave on vacation at the same time. Or in Saudi Arabia where you can't have a synagogue. 25,000 Jews in Iran and are Quite Happy there. Are you speaking for 25000 Jews? The fact that 25,000 Jews live in Iran speaks for itself. |

If terrorists are in prison it is because they have comitted a crime and they have been convicted. Now that 1000 or so convicted murderers and terrorists have been released they have vowed to return to their terrorist ways in the Palestinian Authority area and Gaza. |

I was referring to Gaza the largest Open Prison on the Planet and the rockets that Hamas were launching as resistance to being occupied and humiliated and degraded on a daily basis. |

Israel has not imprisoned the West Bank or Gaza. If they put down their rockets and bombs then there wouldn't even need to be checkpoints! Although there really must be inspections these days just as we have inspections at the airports. Our safety must come first and foremost in light of the continued threat of terrorists like Hamas, Hezbollah and Al-Qaida. The attitude that innocent Israeli women and children deserve to be killed because of a political and religious disagreement is most disgusting. Bombing of buses, cafes and marketplaces are war crimes and there is no justification for such despicable acts. That some mingle2 members appear to support or rationalize the killing of innocent Israeli civilians is appalling. |

I love Jews. I love Judaism. I support Zionism as it gives Jews a refuge in a hostile world. I love Israel. When the jack booted thugs come for my Jewish brothers and sisters, they will have to kill me first or wait until I'm out of 7.62X54R. 
All Arab countries combined are 650 times the size of Israel. It boggles the imagination that people believe this tiny country, which is 8 times smaller than the state of Florida, is the source of the problems in the Middle East. 82% of the World's Jews live in the USA or Israel. The world is a very hostile place for Jews and they have voted with their feet to live in the two freest countries in the world. Palestinian Arabs were given 77% of the British Mandate (which had been part of the Ottoman empire), while Jews were only given 23%, more than half of it desert. The Jews gladly accepted, they were trilled to be able to return to their ancestral homeland. The Palestinian Arabs objected (although 100,000 Jews lived in the area prior to and during WWI), they felt the Jews should be kicked out of the Middle East completely and Arabs should receive all of the land. Their feeling was that the Jews should be kicked out of their homes (even those who were born, lived and worked in Palestine) and have their land taken from them. The Jews were perfectly happy taking 23% of the land (at least 50% of which was desert), leaving 77% with the Arabs, but the Palestinian Arabs felt that any land deal should give 100% of the land to the them. In the end, Israel took the deal and had to fight a war against six nations in order to claim their tiny piece of the world. Israel's existence is a miracle in itself. I'm happy for all my Jewish brothers and sisters to have a home in this hostile world. Not just Israel, but here in the USA. God bless.

We are talking about our love for Jews and Jewish culture, holidays and traditions. We aren't cloaking our selves in anti-Zionism in a feeble attempt to hide our obvious hatred for Jews. At least some of us aren't and those who are doing that are totally OFF TOPIC. Get back on topic or I'm going to have to start reporting posts.

The number of Jews currently living in Iran is estimated at somewhere between 11,000 and 40,000...Prior to Israel's Independence in 1948 the number was estimated to be 100,000 to 150,000...This speaks louder than the number who remain... In Iran, Jews are recognized as a religious minority group...They are allotted one seat in Parliament...They are denied multiple exit permits to travel outside the country...They must pay higher fees than Iranians to travel abroad and rarely, if ever, are they permitted to travel outside the country at the same time as a family... 13 Jews living in Iran have been executed for alleged connections to Israel or for religious reasons... The primary reason those remaining stay is because of their historical roots are there and because they risk splitting up their families if they leave.... |
