It’s a tragedy that the Israelis – a people who must understand better than almost anybody the horrors of oppression – are now acting as oppressors. As the great Jewish writer Primo Levi once remarked "Everybody has their Jews, and for the Israelis it’s the Palestinians" Again for the third time in the last week, I would love to know how "Israel is oppressing the arabs who live in Israel." Is this is an example of one of your Questions? If it is in relation to my post them I never mentioned Arabs. Arabs are what others call Palestinians. Yes, some people call them "Palestinians", but that is an erroneous name. Palestine is an area in the Middle East. It has never been a country in the history of the world. There are Palestinian Jews and Christians and Atheists and probably a smattering of other religions as well. The correct term would be "Palestinian Muslims" or "Palestinian Arabs". |

@ Spider..It already is. It's far safer than many places in the world for Jews. Try being a Jew in Iran, where your whole family can't leave on vacation at the same time. Or in Saudi Arabia where you can't have a synagogue. 25,000 Jews in Iran and are Quite Happy there.

Maybe they know what happens to people who complain, like Neda? Maybe the fact that all members of a Jewish family cannot leave Iran at the same time has something to do with them sticking around? |

Talk about not answering direct questions. This is for 5apphire. I still have not gotten the answer to the questions I have asked over and over. Do you think Jews have been persecuted MORE than any other ethnic group or any other religious group in the world? Yes or no. If so, why do you think that is the case? If not, why do they need a "safe haven?" At least you stopped telling people that they were saying Jews have been persecuted more than anyone else, then not being able to show they actually said it. That's a step in the right direction for you. People have always said that Jews are persecuted more than anyone else. It is part and partial of the whole Zionist propaganda. Feel sorry for the Jews. Another question for singmesweet, You indicated that you are non-religious if I am correct. Yet you say you are Jewish. You argued that you did not claim to be Zionist. Are you Pro-Zionism? If so, why? Do you think that Jews need a safe haven? If so, why? Why should Jews have the state of Israel? Why can't they just live anywhere and everywhere? Do you think Israel is a safe place? Jews of Israel continue to claim that their neighbors are trying to annihilate them. When will Israel finally be a "safe haven?" Yep, I am Jewish. You do not believe that. We've been over it before. I didn't argue about zionists. I stated that I wasn't a "zionist" and asked you to provide proof that I said I was. You were unable to do so. I cannot speak for those who live in Israel. But, I do believe that when there are groups such as the Hamas launching rockets into Israel, they need a safe place. If you'd like to find out how Israelis feel, please ask them. I see no reason to get rid of Israel. Why do you feel they should not have Israel? Who says they cannot live in other places? Jews live all over the world. It sounds like you don't know any Jews. Is that why you're so confused about things? I have never been to Israel, so I cannot state how safe it may be. Please refer to what I said above about asking Israelis what they think.
