personally, i have set a benchmark by which i measure women. i also have a benchmark by which i measure men. i use a benchmark to measure life. some things in life measure up, some aren't worth the time to fix. as i look at the world around me, it seems that people are lowering their personal benchmarks, or don't even have one. i could be wrong

I use my allotment of marks in this life on my bedpost.

I used them all up by twelve years ago, it seems.

I just blackballed myself out of another site. I was not impossible with the other users, but with the management there. I clearly violated the user agreement on the other site by badmouthing the site, saying that either the mgmt did not extend enough effort to keep the site clean of scammers (everyone on the forums complained, and 4 of 5 threads had to do with by dealing directly with or mentioning scammers), or else, I went farther, the management used dummy profiles to beef up the traffic, in order to increase ad revenues. It is true, there were a lot of posts by really good looking women started, who never again participated in the discussions.

Anyhow, I came back to here, the prodigal son that I am, and looked for therapy, which at this time for me would have been just making innocent, light-hearted humour.

I can't now, sorry, because I am apparently expected to make weighty remarks, and I apologize, but that's the last thing I want to do now.

from the posts i've read, you are witty. in some cases i think your wit goes over people's heads. at times i've read, smiled, reread, chuckled, and read again, to just plain laugh at your post. if you changed, you would lose my interest very quickly. you sir, should keep your benchmark

to MY standards.
I hold them to theirs.

I guess i have a benchmark, as the only people I allow close to me are people I can trust.
So my benchmark is truth,
Not that I wouldn't still be nice to someone who lied or decieved me, it's just that I wouldn't let them back into a spot where they could continue to do it..

Sure I have my benchmark most likely that is why I'm single I have not found one that can measure up to it as of yet.

I have my benchmark, it's just that I measure in inches while most of the world is in metric and my fingers don't multiply by 2.2......

do you accept their standards in them even if what they allow for themselves is behavior that you don't tolerate for yourself

how do you measure truth in someone you don't know. can you read people, or is everyone you meet trusted until you catch them violating your benchmark

so will you lower your benchmark to be able to share your life with someone, or can you live your life content knowing that someone who can live up to your benchmark may never come into your life
