I can only speak for myself. [I am sorry if this hurts anybody's feelings. That's not my intention]. I am turned off by older women who have surrendered to being old. I don't like old-people's clothing fashions. I don't like old-peoples' hair styles. I don't like doilies and Hummel figurines all over the place. I don't like the smell of moth-balls. A lot of older women seem to have just stopped trying. Judging people by their looks, first? Hard way to treat people & can lead to a VERY lonely life. Old saying; "Judge not, least ye be judges." I preferr to give people a chance, have a conversation & get to know them. May only lead to a new friend, what is wrong with that? Never know when a new friend may be the friend you need. I would ask that you give people a chance & see what happens.

I think I am a mix of young and older. I don't shop at what are called old people stores, and don't wear my hair like my grandmother. But I am not much for going out. My house probably smells old as I love antiques. But really, sex what the h#ll is that?

Vivian calls it like it is. Some of these remarks are just plain "BULL". (opinion) I think as we get older, we get more choosy. Some people are just looking for sex. Some are still searching for a "soul mate" & want to find one before they die. Some are just seeking a special type of companionship. Bottom line, it is all just a personal choice. "INTENTION = RESULTS" What you REALLY want; you will find. Now go FIND it. Do you think generalizations are results of disappointments, anger, rejections? I don't mind being the way I am, sometimes. I don't mind saying no. I enjoy saying yes. I like a good healthy discussion. Hate rejection and when it hurts, I might have a tendency to rationalize and ..honestly..I could generalize as good as anyone. I love .. INTENTIONS = RESULTS.. it spurs me on to evaluate my life and work at improving. Sometimes in a bit of a growl..I have to admit..I have a long way to go. I appreciate you, Don, Viv, Jeff..and even Indiana..we all have something to say..even if it doesn't feel encouraging. And I appreciate you Sadie..You're the one who calms the rough waters, stills the souls. You have a way with words, I can only envy, as in my headstrong way I react instead of interact..Thank you

Since I am probably the oldest one in this forum I will say that I don't dress old, I don't do anything old!!! Two summers ago the girls at the beauty shop talked me into a spiky hairdo and I got sooo many compliments... One person said I looked very mod !! My grandsons friends think I am the "coolest grandma" ever..lol

Sparkey, you could pass for a teenager from your photo. I'm not sure you are a good spokesperson for the over-60 crowd. In any rate. I am telling you why some older women would have trouble attracting me. Oldsage would probably be a better choice for somebody like you. MsSilverFox. I would love to see a picture of you with your spiky hairdo. Bravo! Were you really a hang glider? Me too, until I gained too much weight to get into my harness. Flying was the only time in my life that I have ever truly felt free from the burdens of the world. I would like to know more about your flying career.
