Okay so how do you identify a possible alien on sight? Comprehension really IS a problem, isn't it ... ? |

I will agree with the fact that the changes made to the law improved it. The problem is that they are still going to be profiling based on race because how can you suspect an alien on sight? Even with it written in the law that they aren't suppose to do it they are still going to be profiling based on race. It is already law that we have to have ID but this law allows them to hold these people indefinitely if they do not have ID. That is a big concern. Hispanic citizens are going to be targeted and harrassed and detained if they forget their ID at home. If a black person is driving in a white neighborhood and gets pulled over for nothing more than being black and assuming they are going to commit a crime is totally different than a person being pulled over for actually committing some violation and being asked to produce identification. The first example is profiling, the second is not. Still doesn't stop them from profiling based on race when suspecting an alien. |

I want to say here, that when I first heard about the law I was opposed to it. I didn't like the idea of officers being handed a license to profile. When I read it I realized that the democratic party AND the republicans were both putting out bogus information about it.
The truth is AZ has had a history of problem concerning profiling. This bill goes a long way toward inhibiting it. It removes race as a legal consideration at EVERY level of ANY investigation. It also evens somethings out in that EVERYONE who is arrested must now be checked for legal status in this country, not just those who may be profiled as being here illegally. |

Well actually this law does move things a little that direction. There was nothing stopping them from profiling based on race before, it is now written in the law that it "MAY NOT BE CONSIDERED". If someone has their rights violated they can sue the police. that is in the bill. What you are saying is mere speculation. Since the law has not taken effect yet, there is no proof to back up what you are implying. |

Since the law has not taken effect yet, there is no proof to back up what you are implying. And in actuality proving that violation of civil righs is actually easier now since the new law explicitly prohibits using race. Federal law actually allows it to be a consideration. You'll the word solely used in federal law, it was stricken from the state law. |

I don't watch Fox news. I also don't watch the 700 club and Pat Robertson. I can't stand him, his face, his phony smile, or his voice.
I don't know how Obama won the election, he seems to be against the New World order crowd, the Bushes, the Zionists, etc. I have not seen him say much or do much that causes me much alarm. He took the presidency at probably the worst possible time in the history of America. I don't expect him to "save us." I expect its too late for that. But I don't see how anyone can blame him for the state of affairs of this country either. If there comes a time when he gains world power and support and then turns that against me and my freedom, then I will take a stand against him. But so far, he hasn't. |

It's a process that's been going on a long time. He is part of that process. One big thing he's doing is pushing for Amnesty. It's political. It concerns the NAU. One thing he has done is, done away with the Bill of Rights. That was back at the G20 conference. Another thing he's done, at the same conference was, he relinquished US sovereignty to Great Britain. Now, they have a say in how our finances are handled. I believe their vote is their 6 to our 1. |

(Since the United States went bankrupt... secretly.) So I don't think you can blame that on Obama. The Bill of Rights was rendered null and void after 9-11 with the patriot act under the Bush administration. So tell, me I am curious, how did Obama do away with the bill of rights recently? Seriously, I would like to know what you are talking about there. I suspect he is "part of the process" as all presidents are. He just looks different. He fits the description of the anti-Chris, but I'm not Christian, so that's not really a bad thing in my eyes. |

And yes, I admit, I do not like grey aliens. They are nasty smelling hateful little creepy creatures. |

The problem here is that everyone of the people asked for their papers needs to ask the cop why he is targeting them. And then file a law suit on the answer because.........wait for it........
THERE IS NO WAY TO "SUSPECT" A PERSON IS AN ILLEGAL ALIEN WITHOUT RACIALLY PROFILING THEM. Got it? Good. So the law in Arizona is racist and there is no way around it. They can put all they want to into the law but as long as they give anyone right to "suspect" illegal aliens they give them the right to profile. And Fox misrepresented the people AGAIN and apparently Rasmussen mislead to some extent in their poll And president Obama has been nice about the whole thing considering. |

They said that the president doesn't care and has never cared about what Americans want. What Americans are they referring to? The few who actually believe Fox News Network is real news? They used a Rasmussen poll but skewed the results. For example: Rasmussen asked if people thought that action should be taken on the immigration issue and 60% said yes. Faux said that showed that people supported the Arizona law. Not. We support action being taken on the issue but not what Arizona is doing as it is a racist action. Obama stated that the law has the potential to be discriminatory. He was being nice. How can you identify an illegal on sight and not be racist? How can you tell you are hearing Faux news followers? They call him "the one", "the anointed one" for a few examples and that signals the information provided following it is not the truth so check it out before buying into it. Just a little advice for your own credibility. Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the PRESIDENT Obama? Isn't this thread about what Fox News "said" about THE PRESIDENT?? The opening statement said that Fox news said the OBAMA (the president) does not care and has never cared about Americans. The O.P also said that Fox news calls "him" (OBAMA?) "THE ANOINTED ONE" OR "THE ONE." I have heard Obama called the anointed one, so I have to assume that the O.P. is referring to Obama. So I don't understand how I could possibly be "off topic" to mention Obama. I don't think I would have ever mentioned Obama had he not been mentioned and refereed to three times in the opening post. |
