Topic: I was watching the Faux news station again this morning..... | |
---|---|
They said that the president doesn't care and has never cared about what Americans want. What Americans are they referring to? The few who actually believe Fox News Network is real news?
They used a Rasmussen poll but skewed the results. For example: Rasmussen asked if people thought that action should be taken on the immigration issue and 60% said yes. Faux said that showed that people supported the Arizona law. Not. We support action being taken on the issue but not what Arizona is doing as it is a racist action. Obama stated that the law has the potential to be discriminatory. He was being nice. How can you identify an illegal on sight and not be racist? How can you tell you are hearing Faux news followers? They call him "the one", "the anointed one" for a few examples and that signals the information provided following it is not the truth so check it out before buying into it. Just a little advice for your own credibility. |

Fox News and it's followers seem to think they are the only real Americans, for some reason.

Just a little advice for your own credibility. And yes, Fox News followers are very easy to spot. Whatever the talking points are that day, they're repeating them. They're also the ones calling Obama "the Messiah" and the others you mentioned. |

Ever since his nomination , I LOVE saying "OBAMA!"
great name, and I still smile when I hear him speak,,,,not a Messiah by any stretch, but an awesome man and a refreshing change in mood and intelligence |

Every time I watch this news station I can plainly see their manipulations even without doing any research on it.
They are an embarrassment to serious journalism everywhere. |

but their graphics are kewl,, and humans are largely visual creatures,,,
gotta hand it to the tech and PR department , they know how to sell |

it looks to me like they skewed it by 5%. Still (according to the poll) the majority of the US (55%) is in favor of immigration laws like this for their state.

as well as this
When asked specifically about the chief provision of the Arizona law, support is even higher. Sixty-nine percent (69%) of voters believe a police officer should be required to check the immigration status of anyone stopped for a traffic violation or violation of some other law if he suspects the person might be an illegal immigrant. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/current_events/immigration/55_favor_immigration_law_like_arizona_s_for_their_state |

Not the same thing. |

Most U.S. voters have been following news reports about the new immigration law in Arizona, and 55% favor passage of such a law in their own state. |

The question they should be asking is "are you in favor of blanket amnesty"? I guarantee that "no" will be substantially higher than 55%.. |

That is your opinion though. Not all of Americas The next paragraph says A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that only 33% of voters are opposed to enactment of that kind of law. Another 12% are not sure. |

I'm going by the Rasmussen report, as stated in the OP. Not by Fox news. It seems, according to them, that the majority is in favor of it
We support action being taken on the issue but not what Arizona is doing as it is a racist action. who is we? |

55% is not that many considering that half of them don't realize the law is racist. Then, to be what's known as 'logically consistent', you'd also need to claim that the FEDERAL law, upon which the AZ law is modeled almost word-for-word, is ALSO racist. |
|
|

Fox news still portrayed it inaccurately and with malice.
Along with their portrayal of the presidents words about the law in Arizona. The president is being nice in describing what is going on in Arizona. |

The federal law does not state that a person believed to be illegal on sight can be held if no proof of papers are provided. So stop spreading lies. |
