I am 50+ years old. I would be interested in someone, my own age.
 (main problem I get, many women that age block their own age-- they allow younger ages to email, though.) or, ( you have to live, 50 miles from them.)

34 years? I think you are my hero.. It's been 16 for me. I think he really wanted someone to be a mother to his 3 children and that's why he pretended to be everything I wanted. Right after the wedding the facade came down and he changed. Once I realized that the verbal and emotional abuse was affecting our daughter so badly I knew I had to leave. Our fighting even caused her to try cutting. I'm looking forward to our new life in sunny FL near supportive family members. This life was no life at all. Thanks for the encouragement. I have the same problem with men. Some are looking only for younger. Most limit the distance. As far as I am concerned there is no distance too great to limit friendship.

Some thoughtful comments here to be sure...but the usual broad generalizations and opinions stated as if they are facts.
Age is simply a number...I've known 40-year-old women and men that seemed
OLD...and 60-year-olds that were vibrant and YOUNG. I'm 59...have been told I don't look it and I don't feel it. I'm more active and athletic than many half my age. Generally, the last consideration I have is a woman's age...within the last few months I have had dates with women from 34 years old to 67. There are a lot of other considerations and factors that determine MY relationships other than age...intelligence, interests, sensuality and a Carpe Diem-approach to life...to name just a few. We all tend to project our own experiences on others, and so we talk about mid-life crises, and say things like men only go for younger women. Mental masturbation for the most part...put yourself out there...pursue with passion what you want...and you find it. Shame on any of us for passing on happiness because you didn't fit in a certain age bracket..young or old! |

It looks really silly for an older woman trying to act much younger than her actual age...and dressing like teenagers. Both older men and women look nice acting and dressing classy.
