Especially when she didn't know where I was getting it from. ouch my answer to the question would be subtle suggestions...invite them for walks after dinner or in the morning before work...suggest healthier options for meals and offer to help cook, increase directives from there as necessary..understanding its a lifestyle that you probably both share thats detrimental...and changing that takes time..unless all they did was get knock up then you got a year..if it ain't done by then you have no excuse..till the doctor hands me the note saying so....but then again my partner wouldn't be the one knocked up either... |

Seriously though, unless she was disgustingly obese it wouldn't bother me. If that was the case then I'd just be upfront about it. |

I keep getting told I should go on a diet. I just agree. Got tired of telling folks I am Prednisone dependent. 20 mg. a day and that crap adds weight. I take water pills, eat breakfast, a light meal in the evening and am very active. Don't stop going until it's almost bedtime. It's a battle just staying where I'm at.
Ya' just might ask them if they want to be critiqued or want help with their situation. IMHO |

How would you suggest to a loved one that they need to go on a diet? I would simply point out the health issues involved like diabetes and heart disease and promise to be supportive and exercise and diet right along with them. |

IMHO I Have a friend with the same issue, I can empathize, but alot of people are simply lazy or unawares of what they are doing to themselves... |

How would you suggest to a loved one that they need to go on a diet? It's their choice, if they want to go on a diet great, but if they don't want to, I'm not going to suggest they do. |
