I had a fantastic conversation with a member about this last night, and I was shocked and thrilled we both agreed on this. I hear so much crap about 50/50, soulmates, being lonely, feeling complete, blah blah... I do not need anyone in my life. I am quite independent and capable of either doing for myself or finding a resource who can. I do not believe soulmates exist. I can not be completed by anyone. I am whole, I am in no need of completing. I believe a relationship is 100/100 and that a partner enriches and compliments my life. A person who invigorates my mind, body, and spirit, and I theirs. I want a relationship, and therefore would never take it for granted or become complacent. I'd never settle just to have someone. Anyone agree or disagree? We enjoy warmth because we have been cold. Had to do some more thinking about what the Franshade and HeartSoul said (and Pastor/bible and other stuff). I agree you don't Need someone else to complete you. Otherwise it makes you NEEDY and the number one turnoff. You can be complete and aware (universal Awareness speaking) without another person in your life. Once you are aware and agree you are complete in yourself (or with God), you are able to be more selective and composed to choose your partner. So, a Great Lover will drive you crazy. I must ignore things like that. Soulmate= other half. Alone= no one else around Loneliness= feeling like to want someone else around Complete= self aware. |

However, I will say that the best lovers I've ever had were crazier than sh*t house rats...but their inability to have a decent relationship not full of turmoil has made them unattractive to me. Isn't there a happy medium somewhere? I'm waiting for perfect (my version of perfect...to include flaws that are manageable) until perfect comes I'm perfect by myself. |

No, it really is about being happy with you and how you define a partner, as a want or a need. My needs, well, they might overlap but my wants are non negotiable in terms of standards. My needs... ugh. Okay they can't really be lowered either. Bad sex is such a waste of time. |
