Im Irish. My ancestors were enslaved for years and treated like dirt. 2008-been a while.  Theres no comparison to the plight of the Irish immigrants and the enslavement and brutalization of black people. Your ancestor wernt bred and sold like animals and told they werent human. My people went through the same, as have MOST people in history. No, I did not say they were. My people were Germans. My people during the 30 Years War were farmers living inbetween a war. The Catholic French raped, pillaged, and slaughtered millions. Over half to 2/3rds of my people, millions of them were killed. It has been reported that about 8 MILLION Germans were killed during this war. Oh yes, the Germans had it MUCH better than African Americans. What the British did to the Irish is of little difference to what was done to the German people. And your point is....................
You said that black people, African Americans, have had it "far worse" than that of the Irish, Germans, and essentially all others. To state that is to ignore history, which I have a college degree in. Your statement is ridiculous in nature. The fact of the matter is slavery is past, I had NO part in it, my area has most of the famous underground railroad pathways. Slavery is gone, past, and equality is here and has been for awhile now. Men like Sowell, Obama, and so many others show that this is true. However, men like Wright, Sharpton, and others do not want to move on and drop the victim race baiting because it is too profitable and brings with it so much power. The Obamas show that they have no moved on for race, nor has their side. They toss the race card whenever possible, using it even against people who for the longest time were seen as popular by the black community and have supported it as well. The Sharptons etc... will have a place in the process until I stop seeing the prejudice and hatred perpetrated in this country against black folks and others. I support their fight until I no longer hear or see the hatred of my fellow whites in this country. |

How comes when Obama gets 90+ percent of the black vote in most states no one says a thing about it, but when he gets only like 40% of white working class voters it is implied this happens because they are white and he is black (essentially calling the 60 percent that didn't vote for him racists)?

Who says I'm equal? Tell that to white poeple who have lost out of jobs to people of other races who were less qualified because of racial quotas. There was a big thing about this a few years back in Boston. There were few black firefighters. This white guy passed the test with higher score, performed better, but the black guy was given the job because they needed to fill quota. |
