i will say..i don't have a problem detaining illegals until they can be deported. if done illegally, then yes!! i do have a problem. i thought we were talking about prisoners though YOU PEOPLE HAVE ME MESSED UP...no wonder i talk to myself the topic of the thread is that people are protesting the way arpaio has gone about catching the illegals with check points and raids . they protest because the way he does things are shady . so i don't have to go back lol (you people wore me out!!!) what does this have to do the tent city and prisoners? i got it off topic that way going off about joe arpaio . that was my fault . but to answer your question about what he has done . http://americasvoiceonline.org/page/-/resources/sheriffjoe.pdf that is just one of the web sites about sherriff joe . |

same with arlington dan. we are between dallas and ft worth. the only times hispanics are pulled over are for traffic violations or crime...THEN they have to prove citizenship. we need better border patrols....more people. i am all for people coming here legally. willing..that is a good idea but how are you going to get them to do this? DHS has plenty Officers. Bush tied their hands and Obama hasn't allowed them to do their job. It was just an idea. The Legal parts of the family, by DHS definition, could face Felony prosecution by harboring and / or housing the Illegal relative. Get pulled over, 2 relatives in the car and one is Illegal, the Legal one has committed Felony Transport of an Illegal. i think it is a great idea the problem is convinceing them to turn them in . and i agree we need to use more dhs . that is there job . let them do it . earlier i posted a website that goes into how many lawsuites he has had and what he has done that has alot of people upset . he thinks he can do no wrong and now even ha a number of the mayors after his head |

One thing the Hispanic Community could do is Police themselves. If they showed a willingness to turn in the Illegal Immigrant and report Businesses who hire them, profiling might not be an issue. but then you could be asking people to turn in family . and these guys are raised family comes first no matter what . at least thats the family i was married into . |

rose...dan is no help here...he got us back on topic then detoured again i know rose...but i blame winx for that...i don't know why but i do rose...that winx is a crafty lil thing...watch out for her kicks sorry rose back on topic . what do you think is a solution to the problem of the immagration raids and checkpoints? well ty for asking dan. like i have said...i don't know. i would back a plan that would be better the reason hispanics are the target in our states is because we border mexico....nothing more. that's where the majority comes from. not other countries. i have great friends that are hispanic and i'm sure they wouldn't know either. right now...there is no good solution. we don't have the manpower to patrol the borders as it is. there are army troops around there in some parts. i really don't know. you can't tell by reactions, clothes or anything else and i doubt they will have a t-shirt saying i'm illegal. i don't like profiling anymore than you do....but i can't think of a better solution There doesn't seem to be a good solution that I can see. I spent the day Sunday with my ex's family for my child's birthday. My ex's brother-in-law is 2nd generation Hispanic. He can't speak Spanish. But..there is not doubt that he could be pulled over with profiling when going by his looks. I would hate to see that happen to him. At the same time, it happens to black people too. my kids are half hispanic , and i would hate for them to be pulled over when they get older just to prove they are citizens . i guess i just look at this different . just because there is no better way does not mean it should be done . the way we used to do it worked . we pulled illegals off the street at about the same rate . My niece is full Hispanic - third generation. Her dad is my ex's brother-in-law's child from another marriage. She's driving now and I cringe at the thought of that child being pulled over like that. I don't have the answers though. and i dont know about other states but in az with the economy the way it is the illegals arent even coming as rapidly because there is no work for them either lol . |

WINX!!!!!!!!!! stop encouraging them brb i feel a kick coming on i agree dan. i understand what a pain it is....but maybe the hispanic community can come up with a solution because i can't i agree with ya . i just think if your going to do them you stop everybody at the checkpoint and just do a general search . never know you might pull some drug dealers off the street . your already stopping people . then there is no profileing because we are checking everyone at the same checkpoint . |

i am sorry of anyone has experienced this. but I do KNOW SOME GOOD JUDGES, COPS, LAWYERS ETC these people DO care and aren't corrupt. they look at the whole picture now let's turn this around (since we want to focus on this instead) what about the child and the custodial parent? i understand people lose their jobs... but it's a struggle for the other side as well my son's mother married a man that is well off enough that my bit of child support is like gas money to them. i understand your point....but it's not his responsibilty to do that my point is that my child isn't suffering. You just don't get it. the thing is he does get it . but what rights do fathers have when we are orderd to pay bu work isnt available . with my hours being cut because of the eonomy my child support takes more then half my wages what am i supposed to live on ? where are the fathers rights? I see both sides. 
I am a single mom and have to deal with what's going to too. I feel that the priority is the child. I'm still sympathetic to all sides. Why don't you have your child support revised to support the discrepancy of your income? i'v tried it's based on potential earnings not actual earnings. That doesn't seem right. I guess you'll just have to keep trying.
yeah, that statement should make all the hurt go away. winx that was what is known as a disassosiative statement. the statement that people use when they themselves can't see a solution but wants to kind of keep pushing their point. not a nice thing to do. i dont think she meant it that way man . it's ok .
