First of all, I believe that there is a God. You don't have to if you don't want to....There is no scientific proof of God that we have been able to put together yet as a human race. Or if there is, It has been successfully covered up. A belief in God at this point is a thing of faith. The reason I believe in God is through a preponderance of the evidence available. The logic lesson that is taught in the scriptures and early writings and records of the human race are amazingly accurate as to what will be happening in the world. Don't even ask me to explain all of it. I won't do it over the net. But for people to have written what they did in so many different disciplines or faiths all those thousands of years ago, and to have them state things that are happening today with the amount of accuracy they did, I believe that there are forces at work in this universe that man cannot perceive. It is not only a just a matter of choice for me, it is also a matter of a logical conclusion based on my own experience's. I believe it is be counter productive to argue mute points. Anyone can believe the way they want to, they are free to do so. I will continue to believe the way I do, until ,and if, I decide to change my mind. Getting on some ones case on either side of the argument about this is not, in my opinion, a good thing. you all have a good night!

Wow, I am glad I posted the last doo-dad, because it allowed me to re-look at 1 John chapter 4... and I found a verse that has been on my mind for a few weeks... yayyyy... In some churches they put the Pastor on like this higher than appropriate pedestal. Sometimes these men of God fall out of the Grace of God, and they are still in the limelight of the pulpit. That is why the Bible instructs us to test every word that preachers and teachers say... mainly to the point, this verse: ****************** 1 John 4:1 "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." ****************** It is up to us to use discernment that God will give us in order to make sure the messages we get from the pulpit are actually message intended from God. Some preachers will be false prophets, teaching mis-truths. |

I guess. I misinterpreted. Im not sure. I dont really consider working as being in service to someone. Maybe because I enjoyed my career, made my money and got out young. Everyone is different in that respect. If you have a horrible job that you hate, then yeah I could see it becoming a service in a sense that you hate yourself for doing and feel like you have no choice.  Thats cool
i'll drink to that!!

I best illustration of this I can think of is the people who were tithing at a church or whatever, and the rich guy gave a bunch of money. then a poor girl gave all she had which was a few pennies. Christ made the point that the poor girl had given more because it was all she had to give. So I would have to say it would be the one who was really trying to please God, sense that was the question about who would be pleased!
