Atlanta – For many living in a terror-spooked country, it might seem like a great government innovation: Use vans equipped with mobile X-ray units to scan vehicles at major sporting events, or even randomly, for bombs or contraband.

But news that the US is buying custom-made vans packed with something called backscatter X-ray capacity has riled privacy advocates and sparked internet worries about "feds radiating Americans."

"This really trips up the creep factor because it's one of those things that you sort of intrinsically think the government shouldn't be doing," says Vermont-based privacy expert Frederick Lane, author of "American Privacy." "But, legally, the issue is the boundary between the government's legitimate security interest and privacy expectations we enjoy in our cars."

[Related: Airlines want air marshals in coach]

American Science & Engineering, a Billerica, Mass.-company, tells Forbes it's sold more than 500 ZBVs, or Z Backscatter Vans, to US and foreign governments. The Department of Defense has bought the most for war zone use, but US law enforcement has also deployed the vans to search for bombs inside the US, according to Joe Reiss, a company spokesman, as quoted by Forbes.

On Tuesday, a counterterror operation snarled truck traffic on I-20 near Atlanta, where Department of Homeland Security teams used mobile X-ray technology to check the contents of truck trailers. Authorities said the inspections weren't prompted by any specific threat.

The mobile X-ray technology works by bouncing narrow X-ray streams off an object like a car and then analyzing the scatter rate of the returning rays. Operators can then locate less-dense objects that could be bodies or bombs.

Backscatter X-ray is already part of an ongoing national debate about its use in so-called full body scanners being deployed in many US airports. In that case, US officials have said they will not store or share the images and will use masking technology to avoid revealing details of the human body. Nevertheless, information security advocates have filed suit to stop their deployment, citing concerns about privacy.

Security experts say expanding the X-ray technology for use on American streets is a powerful counterterror strategy. They also point out the images do not not offer the kind of detail that would be embarrasing to anyone. Moreover, law enforcement already has broad search-and-seizure powers on public highways, where a search warrant is often not needed for officers to instigate a physical search.

But others worry that radiating Americans without their knowledge is evidence of gradually eroding constitutional protections in the post-9/11 age.

"Regardless of where you fall on the spectrum of national security … you have to be realistic that this is another way in which the government is capturing information they may lose control over," says Mr. Lane. "I just have some real problems with the idea of even beginning a campaign of rolling surveillance of American citizens, which is what this essentially is."

Where in the Bible can I find answers to why so many ministers today are going through so many trials and road blocks as they try to preach the Gospel and lead their churches?

Q. Where in the Bible can I find answers to why so many ministers today are going through so many trials and road blocks as they try to preach the Gospel and lead their churches? Isn’t there a verse that talks about the trials and testing we go through the closer our walk is with Christ?

A. The Bible warns all of us to be on guard against attack:

John 16:33,
"These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."

1 Peter 4:12-19,
12, "Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13, But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
14, If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15, But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16, Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
17, For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18, And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19, Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator."

Ephes. 6:10-18, etc.:
10, "Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11, Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12, For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13, Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14, Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15, And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16, Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17, And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18, Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;"

Pastors are especially vulnerable:

The enemy knows the time is short and is engaged in a full blown attack against the Church. Pastors are in the front lines and according to surveys are being taken out at the rate of three each week in the US. Those who remain true to God’s word will likely experience attacks in the form of dwindling financial resources, personal betrayals by the people closest to them, and sexual temptation. Any Pastor who doesn’t have constant prayer cover is at risk. There’s no group in the Church today who needs our prayers more.

http://gracethrufaith.com/ask-a-bible-teacher/pastors-under-attack/

Matthew 12:31-32, Jesus says to the Pharisees,

"Therefore I say to you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. Anyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it will not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come".

There is one sin that is not unforgiven and it is this one that Jesus spoke of.Many people have argued what this sin is and the majority of the people have concluded that this unforgiven sin is leaders of the church telling the people lies and distortions about the bible. They are calling the unholy "Holy" and the "Holy" unholy.

I do hope pastors who are leading the church into destruction by doing things such as homosexual marriage realize there is a heavy price to pay for their sins which may not be forgiven.

Spiritual Deception

Jesus said on the Mount of Olives (Matt. 24) that deception would be the primary cultural sign of the last days. Even some of God’s “elect” might be deceived by false theologies. “Good would be called evil and evil good” (Isaiah 5:20). Men would substitute light for darkness and darkness for light. Apostasy would consume churches and denominations that were once solid.

http://www.olivetreeviews.org/wordpress/category/spiritual-deception/

You have two forms of Christianity today. One is the strict, correct, pure, the word of God is the word of truth faith. The other is you can do what ever you want good or bad because God loves you anyways faith

The True Christians out there are few and far between. You have churches performing homosexual marriages and accepting homosexually as something God would approve. Many churches and the pastors leading them have caved into political correctness by accepting and loving everyone despite the ungodly, unholy, lives they are leading. Many churches will not scold or reprehend you for anything you are doing including members of the church.

This is far from what Jesus taught and a world from what the bible tells us to do.Beware of corrupt churches and pastors our there!

As if it could not get any weirder...

"(CNN) – A confrontation Wednesday night between New York gubernatorial hopeful Carl Paladino and a reporter threatened to turn physical.

The dustup was captured in an exclusive cellphone video by CNN affiliate YNN Albany. It began with New York Post statehouse columnist Fred Dicker pressing Paladino to back up an explosive allegation he made to the Politico website Wednesday that his opponent, Andrew Cuomo, had taken "paramours" during his marriage to Kerry Kennedy.

"Do you have any evidence of the charge you made?"

"You'll get it at the appropriate time. You're not entitled to it," retorted Paladino, who then derided Dicker as Cuomo's "stalking horse" and "bird dog."

The confrontation escalated from there.

"You send another goon to my daughter's house and I'll take you out, buddy," an apparent reference to the Post's coverage of a daughter Paladino had out of wedlock.

Dicker shot back: "You gonna take me out?"

"Yeah."

"How you gonna do that?"

"Watch," Paladino ended with, before walking off.

The Post declined to comment on the altercation. The Paladino camp did not immediately return a request for comment. Nor did the Cuomo camp."

I thought Obamas cash for clunkers was a good idea.It got a lot of poor fuel efficent cars off the roads and helped people get a big discount on newer cars which was a win for both sides.I'm sure that will have a effect on gasonline demand and lower prices sometime in the future.

Bushes rebate checks to taxpayers two times was a great idea.I can't think of any President that actually gave cash money back to the taxpayers.

I thought Bush's "No child left behind" was a good idea.

Bush's higher taxes for imports was good for America because imports were charged higher taxes and that stopped many imports from coming into America which American business's took over by producing here.

Bush's tax breaks for everyone was a wonderful idea.

I didn't like Bush building up the oil inventory during the record high gas prices.

Figures...

"I have heard many times that atheists know more about religion than religious people," Silverman said. "Atheism is an effect of that knowledge, not a lack of knowledge. I gave a Bible to my daughter. That's how you make atheists."

Atheists, agnostics, Jews and Mormons score highest on basic religion test

"Americans are by all measures a deeply religious people, but they are also deeply ignorant about religion.

Researchers from the independent Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life phoned more than 3,400 Americans and asked them 32 questions about the Bible, Christianity and other world religions, famous religious figures and the constitutional principles governing religion in public life.

On average, people who took the survey answered half the questions incorrectly, and many flubbed even questions about their own faith.

Those who scored the highest were atheists and agnostics, as well as two religious minorities: Jews and Mormons. The results were the same even after the researchers controlled for factors like age and racial differences.

"Even after all these other factors, including education, are taken into account, atheists and agnostics, Jews and Mormons still outperform all the other religious groups in our survey," said Greg Smith, a senior researcher at Pew.

That finding might surprise some, but not Dave Silverman, president of American Atheists, an advocacy group for nonbelievers that was founded by Madalyn Murray O'Hair.

"I have heard many times that atheists know more about religion than religious people," Silverman said. "Atheism is an effect of that knowledge, not a lack of knowledge. I gave a Bible to my daughter. That's how you make atheists."

Among the topics covered in the survey were: Where was Jesus born? What is Ramadan? Whose writings inspired the Protestant Reformation? Which Biblical figure led the exodus from Egypt? What religion is the Dalai Lama? Joseph Smith? Mother Theresa? In most cases, the format was multiple choice.

The researchers said that the questionnaire was designed to represent a breadth of knowledge about religion but was not intended to be regarded as a list of the most essential facts about the subject. Most of the questions were easy, but a few were difficult enough to discern which respondents were highly knowledgeable.

On questions about the Bible and Christianity, the groups that answered the most right were Mormons and white evangelical Protestants.

On questions about world religions, like Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism and Judaism, the groups that did the best were atheists, agnostics and Jews.

One finding that may grab the attention of policy makers is that most Americans wrongly believe that anything having to do with religion is prohibited in public schools.

An overwhelming 89 percent of respondents, asked whether public school teachers are permitted to lead a class in prayer, correctly answered no.

But fewer than 1 in 4 knew that a public school teacher is permitted "to read from the Bible as an example of literature." And only about one third knew that a public school teacher is permitted to offer a class comparing the world's religions.

The survey's authors concluded that there was "widespread confusion" about "the line between teaching and preaching."

Smith said the survey appeared to be the first comprehensive effort at assessing the basic religious knowledge of Americans, so it is impossible to tell whether they are more or less informed than in the past.

The phone interviews were conducted in English and Spanish in May and June. There were not enough Muslim, Buddhist or Hindu respondents to say how those groups ranked.

Clergy members who are concerned that their congregants know little about the essentials of their own faith will no doubt be appalled by some of these findings:

— Fifty-three percent of Protestants could not identify Martin Luther as the man who started the Protestant Reformation.

— Forty-five percent of Catholics did not know that their church teaches that the consecrated bread and wine in holy communion are not merely symbols but actually become the body and blood of Christ.

— Forty-three percent of Jews did not know that Maimonides, one of the foremost rabbinical authorities and philosophers, was Jewish.

The question about Maimonides was the one that the fewest people answered correctly. But 51 percent knew that Joseph Smith was Mormon, and 82 percent knew that Mother Theresa was Roman Catholic."

Religion is man man and I am not a part of religion. If someone asked me if I was religious I would probably tell them "no".If they asked me if I believed in Jesus Christ and the Holy bible I would tell them "Yes".

Since I do not believe in other religions or the Gods they worship I do not waste time learning about them.I couldn't tell you the first thing about Buddhism,or Hinduism.I'm sure I would flunk their test on religion but could pass on test on Christianity with flying colors.

Obama Speaks of His Christian Faith, Jesus Christ

President Barack Obama was forced to open up about his Christian faith on Tuesday when an Albuquerque woman asked him "Why are you a Christian?"

Evangelicals: Obama Not a Muslim
Obamas Join Worship Service at Episcopal Church
He responded, "I'm a Christian by choice."

It was a "hot topic question," the woman recognized during a "backyard" conversation on the economy. Obama was meeting with families in the front yard of the home of Andy and Etta Cavalier in Albuquerque, N.M., when the question was posed.

Providing a brief account of how he grew up, Obama said his family members "weren't folks who went to church every week."

"My mother was one of the most spiritual people I knew, but she didn't raise me in the church," he said.

Obama became a Christian later in life.

What drew him to Christianity was "the precepts of Jesus Christ" which spoke to him in terms of the kind of life he would want to lead, he explained.

Those precepts include "being my brothers' and sisters' keeper; treating others as they would treat me."

He continued, "I think also understanding that ... Jesus Christ dying for my sins spoke to the humility that we all have to have as human beings – that we're sinful and we're flawed and we make mistakes; we achieve salvation through the grace of God."

In terms of how he's living out his Christian faith, he said he strives and prays to "see God in other people" and "help them find their own grace."

"I think my public service is part of that effort to express my Christian faith," he said.

Only about a third of Americans believe the president is a Christian, a Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life revealed last month. Last year, nearly half held that perception. Meanwhile, some (18 percent) say Obama is a Muslim and the rest do not know his religion.

Following the release of the poll, the White House and several pastors who advise Obama defended the president's faith and assured the public that he is committed to Christ. Given the increasing misperception, Longwood, Fla., Pastor Joel C. Hunter recommended that the White House be more public about what Obama does to be an active Christian.

A few weeks later, Obama and his family made a rare appearance at church for Sunday worship. They attended St. John's Church near the White House.

After responding to the question about his faith on Tuesday, Obama added that as the president of the United States, he also deeply believes that "part of the bedrock strength of this country is that it embraces people of many faiths and of no faith."

"Their own path to grace is one that we have to revere and respect as much as our own and that's part of what makes this country what it is," he highlighted.

"We were founded on freedom ... the freedom of religion. That's how this country got started. That's why people came here. We have to constantly, I think, reaffirm that tradition even when it sometimes makes us uncomfortable."

Briefly addressing another "hot topic question" asked by the same woman, Obama reiterated his stance on abortion.

Abortion should be "safe, legal and rare," he said.

The decision should be made by the families and the women involved and not the government, he said.

Regarding late-term abortions, he noted that there are "a whole host of laws on the books" in which the interests shift after a certain period so that there are some restrictions, and "appropriately so."

Obama is visiting four states Tuesday and Wednesday to talk about the economy, health care and other topics. New Mexico was his first stop.

You should listen to the speech itself on video because it is much more telling about Obama.I never believed Obama was a Christian and listening to him studder and go ummmm, ummmm, ummmm during this speech only confirms what I believe. This speech is also the first time in two years Obama has ever mentioned "Jesus Christ".He speech was a cold as a tombstone in December. He doesn't attend church and his former church was lead by a man who blasphemed against God during church services.

Obama can claim he is a Christian. His voting record and his actions tell me otherwise. He is 100% pro choice and believes children that survive abortions should not get medical care and should be left to die.Any real Christian would never support abortion in any form including that barbaric late term abortion. He very often defends and speaks of Islam much more than he does Christianty. He said "America is no longer a Christian nation".He said Muslims and Christians pray to the same God.He defends Homosexuality and slanders those who speak against it.

I am a real Christian because I know Jesus Christ is real and his word is true and he is the son of God.I am a Christian because I know every good thing comes from God.I know there is no other Gods.Christianity defines who I am and I live my life by the teachings of the bible.

Many Christians who know God and Jesus will say the same thing. They can say it with out mumbling and with out bringing in other religions and defending those religions.

Leave it to California and the ACLU to keep a man on death row for 28 years.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_california_executions#mwpphu-container

Calif execution try collapses after court setbacks

SAN FRANCISCO – California's first execution attempt in nearly five years collapsed Wednesday amid two adverse court rulings in as many days and an impending shortage of drugs that made the lethal injection of a convicted rapist-murderer impossible.

State officials called off the execution of Albert Greenwood Brown after a state Supreme Court ruling made Friday the earliest possible day that Brown could be given a lethal injection. But by then, the state's entire supply of a drug used during the process would have expired.

It was unclear when the state might try again to execute Brown, since it won't receive a new supply of sodium thiopental until early next year at the soonest.

Brown's attorney and death penalty foes had accused the attorney general's office of rushing to execute the inmate before the drug supply expired.

"I'm relieved," John Grele, one of Brown's attorneys, said about the canceled execution attempt. "This was a hastily designed plan."

The state high court ruling came a day after U.S. District Jeremy Fogel blocked the execution that had been scheduled for Thursday night. Fogel said he wanted more than a few days to determine whether California's new lethal injection process passes constitutional muster by avoiding cruel and unusual punishment.

The attorney general appealed that decision Wednesday morning to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals only to withdraw it in the afternoon. Senior Assistant Attorney General Ronald Matthias told the appeals court that "in light of the order of the Supreme Court of California ... no execution of Albert Greenwood Brown can occur on Sept. 30, 2010, as a matter of state law."

Brown was sentenced to death in 1982 for raping and killing 15-year-old Susan Jordan. Brown had taunted Jordan's mother with a phone call saying she would never see her daughter again.

"The appeals process in California has proven to be nothing more than a never-ending war of attrition against justice and the rights of victims and their families," said Karen Jordan Brown, the victim's sister. "The distress that this process has brought upon the Jordan family is profound and unfathomable, but has only tempered our convictions in favor of capital punishment."

The attorney general's office gave no new date for the execution of Brown but said one would "be sought in accordance with applicable law and in conformity with all court orders."

Before the execution was canceled, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger had declined Brown's request for clemency.

"He was convicted and sentenced to death by a jury of his peers, and now 30 years later the state is still unable to carry out his execution," Schwarzenegger said. "It is absurd that our legal system continues to prevent the state from carrying out the will of the people."

In August, the attorney general's office said execution dates would be sought for several of the more than 700 death row inmates who have completed the trial appeals process. But soon after, prosecutors canceled a hearing that had been set for Sept. 14 in Ventura County to obtain a death warrant for Michael Morales, who came within two hours of being executed in February 2006.

Prison officials called off the execution of Morales after conceding they couldn't comply with Fogel's order concerning the participation of medical personnel. In December 2006, Fogel placed a de factor moratorium on executions when he ordered prison officials to overhaul the lethal injection process.

Since then, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has built a new death chamber and changed how the execution team at San Quentin prison is selected and trained.

The state formally adopted new lethal injection regulations on Aug. 29. The next day, the Riverside County District Attorney's Office obtained an execution date for Brown.

Now, it's unclear when California can schedule another execution.

On Friday, it will run out of sodium thiopental, and the only company in the country that makes the drug said it can't provide a new supply until the first of the year.

The state's battle to resume executions will most likely return to Fogel's court where a lawsuit filed by Morales has been pending since 2006.

"The state is confident it will ultimately prevail on this issue," prison department spokeswoman Terry Thornton said.

I am not for or against mega churches.I have been to church services in huge arenas and I really felt the Holy ghost flowing through the building.Seeing Billy graham at a capacity show in a huge football stadium was one of the highlights of my Christian faith.Big churches are nice to attend because they usually have a book store and gift shop where you can see the latest books and CD's.I do think the bigger churches are more likely to be corrupted by the huge amount of money flowing through them.I left my church for many years because the pastor was always driving a brand new car every 6 months and was always telling us we should give no less than a 50 dollar bill and should be giving several hundred. He was as corrupt as you can be.

Personally I like to go into the dirt poor neighborhoods and go to some run down church. The people and the service is as real as it gets and the pastor does not waste half of the service talking about trips,vacations,workshops,etc...I used to go to a church were everyone was black and I was the only white guy.It was a great church but I never felt comfortable going there. The 3 1/2 hour service was a big long also.

I think preventing people from expressing their own opinion is wrong.Everyone has a right to their own opinion. Many people have often said it would be good to shut up the KKK because it is hate speech. If we started doing that the gay mafia would say the Christian churches are spewing hate towards the homosexuals and they would be banned. It turns into a slippery slope.Pretty soon everyone will be offended by someone or something and want it banned.

I thought that judges decision to let those Demons masquerading as a church to keep protesting military funerals was a horrible descision. They are harassing and intimidating a bunch of people in the worst possible way.You should have the right to free speech until you are causing someone emotional distress and grief which could lead to violence and death.

I am blown away these azzholes have a constitutional right to exist!

I feel the same about white supremacists, cults, fanatical religious folks, etc...

But if we start restricting freedoms where do we stop? Rhetorical question.
So brings me too my question Do you support all Nuetral powers except the Whites?

yea, the black and mexican supremest are ok, but the white supremest... the hell you say...

I think if you were a white person standing on the street corner telling people "we need to kill a few black babies",3 police cars would come screeching to a halt and 10 cops would slam you to the ground, kick you in the face, and send you to jail where you would later be charged with a hate crime and spend 10 years in jail for conspericy to commit murder.

Seems ironic you probably have these same murderers in Mexico skip jumping across the border into the United states to have some idiot like Obama and Pelosi give them welfare and free medical in some sanctuary city.

Anyone ever think we wouldn't be reading about these problems if we had a 60 foot wall along our border with armed guards every 600 feet?

That would make too much sense!! The leftist liberals want as many criminals roaming our streets as possible.

Most people don't realize you can't travel into another country if you have a felony.Imagine how many people(including the gangs and drug dealers)would not be living in America because they were denied entry because of their felony?

The real cash cow is green energy. It is far, far, more expensive then other forms of energy. So if we are talking about greed and a power grab green energy is leading the herd.

http://broadbill.wordpress.com/2010/09/28/windpower-twice-as-expensive-as-coal-and-gas/

Britain’s so-called “dash for wind” means that it is now the biggest off shore generator – producing as much as the rest of the world put together.

But costs of building the farms have doubled due to spiralling prices for steel and the drop in the value of the pound.

The running costs are also increasing.

The report found that costs have risen for all kinds of generation but off shore wind farms remain by far the most expensive – 90 per cent more than fossil fuel generators and 50 per cent more than nuclear.

The news is bound to lead to question over the government’s policy of using wind power to meet its target to generate around a third of its electricity from renewables by 2020.

But the authors of the report at the UK Energy Research Centre (UKERC), a government think tank, said they remained “cautiously optimistic” that wind can play a significant contribution to the zero carbon energy production for Britain.

“We think that there are grounds for cautious optimism,” said Dr Robert Gross, of Imperial College London, who headed the report.

“Yes it is more expensive than gas and coal and is unlikely to reach parity for at least 20 years but we still think it is a worthwhile energy producer.

“All alternatives such as nuclear and carbon capture are bound to have teething problems too.”

With the opening of Thanet wind farm in the North Sea last week Britain became the biggest offshore wind generator in the world.

The world’s biggest ocean wind farm off Foreness Point, Kent, it has 100 turbines, each measuring more than 300ft, and will power more than 200,000 homes.

Swedish energy giant Vattenfall – which spent £780 million on the array – refuses to say how long it will take for the farm to pay for itself.

However the UKERC have calculated that the cost per unit of energy – known as a Megawatt hour – over the 25 year lifespan of the farm is expected to be £149.

That compares with £80 for coal and gas, and £97 for nuclear power.

Onshore wind farm – at £88 per megawatt hour – is almost as efficient of fossil fuels but is hampered by complaints they ruin the landscape.

Experts fear that Britain is relying too much on wind as a power source when other technologies are required in calm weather. Thanet wind farm increases the number of large-scale turbines off Britain to 436, with 2,640 on land.

Almost 1,000 turbines are being built offshore and onshore and a further 2,300 have planning consent.

The Government hopes to have as many as 6,000 onshore and 4,000 at sea.

Dr Gross said one way to reduce costs would be for the government to increase the production capacity in Britain.

At the moment almost 80 per cent of the turbines and platforms have to be imported which means they are susceptible to currency fluctuations.

It also means that Britain is losing out on the chance of building a new industry out of their world leading position.

Dr Gross said: “The UK is not yet fully benefiting from being a world-leader in the field; in effect UK consumers are subsidising Danish and German wind energy companies.

“This report suggests that policies could do more both to bear down on costs and support a UK based industry.

“At the moment the UK’s support system offers a generous subsidy but may not do enough to build confidence in the companies making components, providing vessels or delivering support services.

“We could do more to support innovation and the smaller players lower in the supply chain.”

It's hard to believe and sickening that there is actually people out there who would defend these people in any way shape or form.Any person who is defending these sick, perverted, child predators, should be thrown in jail right next to them and left to rot.It is even more disgusting that people are defending grown men having sodomy with young boys.

I'm sure the ACLU will be defending them shortly.Sounds like a case right up there alley.

you cant have it both ways...freedom is free for everyone..even the nasty guys...just like Dragoness said..if you start restricting freedoms, where do you stop..and who gets to decide??...

Thats why a society has values and morals...right from wrong, personal choices, responsibilities and duty toward the society one lives in...that has to be taught, not regulated.

You talk like you have been living a cave for the last 30 years.

You ever watch that show "To catch a predator"?Simply showing up for the meeting is enough to get your dumb butt thrown into prison for 20 years.Having pornographic photos of nude children on your computer can get you a swift felony and jail time.

You do have a right to your beliefs however if you are the kind of person who is considered a danger to the public you can be arrested and thrown in jail for conspiracy to commit a crime. You ever hear of David koresh? You have the right to free speech unless you are threatening another person. The minute you start threatening someone you can be arrested for harassment.Your rights to free speech ends when it comes to face to face slander of another person, giving false or misleading information to a police officer, yelling fire in a crowded theatre, and thousands more I can't think of.

All of your rights go into a whole other ball game when a second person is involved. When two people are involved anything can happen. The KKK may have the right to hold a rally. The minute they call for death and destruction of the blacks they are setting themselves up for a whole list of offences to be thrown into jail for.

It amazes me that people will stop at nothing to attack the Constitution. A bunch of child molesting pervs want to have sex with minors, and someone brings up the Constitution??? Give me a break.

my point, was that freedom is free even when its ugly...its hideous that this group exists, but, thanks to your constitution even pedophiles have rights...

You don't know what you are talking about.Millions of laws have been passed since the Constituition was written.Thousands of them can put you in a dark, cold, cell for the rest of your life where all your rights cease to exist.Gary ridgeway is locked up in SuperMax where he spends 23 hours a day in solitary confinment. You know what his rights are?1 hour a day to shower, and walk around a small patio area which is totally inclosed except the roof.

You think your rights are above the laws of this country?Your living in a fantasy world. When a man is sitting in a electric chair all of his rights go out the window with the flip of switch.

I'm not defending anyone including Bozo or Hannity that gives 4% or less to the charity. Before people give to a charity they should always see how much of the money is actually going to the charity and how much is going to fat, lazy, cigar sucking CEO's who are making millions a year doing nothing in the name of starving children.

There are many charities that give all or nearly all the money to the charity.

Bono's anti-poverty foundation ONE is under pressure to explain its finances after it was revealed that only a small percentage of money it raises reaches the needy.
The non-profit organisation set up by the U2 frontman received almost £9.6million in donations in 2008 but handed out only £118,000 to good causes (1.2 per cent).

The figures published by the New York Post also show that £5.1million went towards paying salaries.

While the organisation's gameplan has never been direct handouts on the ground, many who admire the Irish rock legend may be surprised by the figures.

Bono was playing Brussels last night with U2 as the world's leaders - so many of whom he speaks to directly - were meeting at the UN assembly in New York to assess the progress, or lack of, in reaching the Millennium goals they set.

The Post revealed it had received a number of gifts from ONE in the run-up to the event, such as leather notebooks, bags of coffee and water bottles.
In the UK, the organisation has laid on a series of high-profile, celebrity-supported events since it launched in 2002 to fight poverty in Africa and Aids worldwide.
In 2009, the group campaigned to have enshrined in British law a commitment to development assistance abroad.

ONE spokesman Oliver Buston has now defended the way the organisation is run, insisting the money is used for promoting its campaign and raising awareness rather than being given straight to those who need help.
He said: 'We don't provide programmes on the ground. We're an advocacy and campaigning organisation.'
Another spokesman in New York today dismissed the notion of lavish salaries being paid to its 120 members of staff and said the organisation was highly efficient in its raising of awareness.

ONE said it took no money from the public and that most of its funding came from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Yep. They whine about Nazi's killing people, but yet they support Muslims who are taught to hate and kill people, and who actually sided with Hitler in his "Final Solution" to rid the planet of all the Jews.

They still hate the Jews, they hate Israel and its right to exist.
They even hate their own kind because they want to see more Muslim/Arab presence in America....which will only lead to a war between the Muslims/Arabs and those who dont accept their hateful ways.

And of course you have idiots like the woman who wrote this book painting the Nazi's as just a bunch of guys who bend over back ward for the prisioners needs.Just like you have a bunch of people fighting tooth and nail to defend Irans nuclear program as "Peaceful energy".
