he's trying to give bush credit for having so many homeowners in the nation.
if that's so,
he could have at least made sure they could afford them.

Actually Bush tried over 13 times to put regulation into fanny mae and freddie mac because he saw the housing bubble coming.Bush tried to stop it but was not successful.

A big part of the blame is our Government demanding banks give houses to minorities that couldn't afford them.I believe that is where it really started. Our Government told the banks they had no choice but to give people a house loan regardless if they could afford it or not.Our Government was saying it was a right to own a house and the banks couldn't discriminate. It was all a load of BS!

The following questions from the OP have not yet been addressed.

One of the greatest questions to puzzle Christians has been “What about the salvation of unbelievers?”
The bible is unclear when it comes to this question

What does the bible say about the salvation when it comes to:

- Children who are too young to grasp the meaning and concepts
of scripture?

- Adults who, like children, will never have the intellect to
understand the bible?

- About people today and the many in the past who had never even
heard of Jesus or the bible?

- All the humans that lived before there was ‘scripture’?

Modern Homo sapiens appear in record about 100,000 years ago – that’s 95,000 years of people to exist before God appeared to Abraham.

What does the bible say about their salvation?

Surely, throughout human history there have been non-Christians who have attained the moral equivalency of Gods’ standards without holding a belief in the God of Abraham or in Jesus.

What’s the answer?

Christians and Jews believe the earth is around 6,000 years old.Considering God mad the first man and woman everyone born after that time probably would have heard of the bible and God.

Matthew 24:14 says "And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then the end shall come".

As far as people not understanding the bible because they are mentally retarded or some other reason I'm sure God would not hold them accountable for something they are unable to learn and treat them as a innocent child.I'm sure there are bible verses dealing with this issue but I don't have time right now to research it.

Everyone will have known about salvation through Christ before the rapture. The bible says every knee shall bow.

It is written: "'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God.'" Romans 14:11

REV 14:6 Then I saw another angel flying in midair, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth--to every nation, tribe, language and people. 7 He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the springs of water."

REV 14:8 A second angel followed and said, "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great, which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries."

REV 14:9 A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, 10 he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name." 12 This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandments and remain faithful to Jesus.

Concerning children...

Both Deuteronomy 1.39 and Isaiah 7.16 acknowledge that children "have no knowledge of good and evil" and do not have the maturity to "know to refuse evil and choose the good."

In Numbers 14:29

29 In this wilderness your bodies will fall—every one of you twenty years old or more who was counted in the census and who has grumbled against me.

God spared anyone 19 and under judgment before they were sent to the promised land in the Old testament.

After the rapture all the Christians will be gone and the world will be in chaos for 7 years.Anyone who wants to accept Jesus as their savior will be saved.

After 7 years everyone will be thrown into Hell and left there forever.

ahhhh.
i would love to sit down.
face to face.
and listen to allll you guys have to say.
you know how america is in debt.
well on his last year,
mr. bush stated that the nation's economy had been going down for the past ten years.
um.
wasn't he in office for eight of those.
clinton for two.
so the damage clinton did in those two years was sooooooooo bad he couldn't fix it in eight.
ah.
makes perfect sense.

I remember Bush inheriting Clintons recession and turning it around.I also remember the record stock market high under Bush.Bush dealt with a record stock market drop during the 9/11 attacks and turned it around.Unemployment was low, people were not losing jobs and homes in record numbers.

I firmly believe if Bush was put back into office right now this economy would getting better by leaps and bounds.

Obama just isn't a guy you can trust and like as a business man.He wants to raise taxes by record numbers, his outrageous debt has lowered the dollar making everything more expensive to buy for a business,he is pushing this mandatory health care bill which will cost companies thousands of dollars per employee per month, cap and tax will make energy very expensive, and on and on and on.

I insult no belief of you or anyone else. Why do you ramble mindlessly and insulting towards Christianity? And no i do not "assume" the Hebrews speak for God. The Hebrews do not speak for God. Our father has informed us directly, just we were not there so then the message is needed to be carried on. And it just so happened to be in that area this took place. God speaks to us in this day and age as well. Just alot of people do not listen and refuse to listen just as you.

Have you paid attention to the Biblical stories at all?

The Israelites were God's "choosen" people. It's all about Israel being a choose nation. It's all about Jerusalem. In Revelations John speaks of Jerusalem being adorned as a bride for the groom Jesus to remarry upon his return.

It was not ACCIDENT that this mythology happens to favor the Israelites. THEY are the one's who made this crap UP!

No, these stories do not in any way indicate that this is some cosmic creator's message to "all of mankind". Not at all.

This is an extremely cultural-specific mythology.

And yes our father to us is in great comparison to us to our kids. Our father takes care of us and provides for us just as we provide for our kids in our lives. Our father disciplines us just as we discipline our kids through our lives. Our father has taught us just as we teach our children through our lives.

How does the comparison not work if i may ask?

You can compare a "God" in general with a 'father' of humanity. But your constant DEMAND that these ancient Hebrew fables speak for that father, or that Jesus was the demigod of that father have no grounds.

In other words, to suggest that because someone rejects the Hebrew fables they are also 'rejecting God' is utterly absurd.

And that's where you constant comparison of children "rejecting" their parents breaks down.

I GAVE you a perfect example of precisely how a belief in the Christian Bible itself could ultimately be a 'rejection' of your TRUE parent (or God).

You've chosen to worship religious bigotry of a specific culture and their demigod as an idol, rather than acknowledge the cosmic spirit of all humankind. So in that sense you could very well be rejecting YOUR true "Father" by worshiping an idol religion instead. whoa

That would be a good theory if God had not spoken about Jesus as his son and talked about Jesus coming in the Old testament and everything that was prophecy about Jesus.God said nobody comes to him anymore but through Jesus Christ. You can not separate Jesus from the Old testament. You can not separate Jesus and the prophecies fulfilled.Everything came together exactly as God said it would.

So where you are getting conflicts between Jesus and the Old testament I have no idea. Some of the Jews may have rejected Jesus but they should have been smart enough to realize Jesus was the messiah as the majority of the Jews who saw him did. When Jesus spoke bible verses everything was from the Old testament. You will not find a single bible verse where Jesus said God was wrong for his laws and commandments.

I said, FAIR TAX.
Never mind.laugh laugh laugh laugh

the guy up there suggested a flat tax.
sounds great.

How about a Cow fart tax?And no I am not making this up.

http://westinstenv.org/news/2008/11/20/epa-proposes-cow-fart-tax/

The Environmental Protection Agency issued an Advance Notice of Proposed Rulemaking seeking public comment on whether it is appropriate to regulate greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from automobiles under the Clean Air Act. In order to regulate automobile emissions, the EPA would first have to make a finding that all greenhouse gases endanger public health and safety and should be classified as a “pollutant.”

Essentially, the EPA is ruling on whether or not GHG emissions should be classified as endangering public safety. If that finding is made, all GHGs including carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide would have to be regulated under the Clean Air Act. …

The vast majority of livestock operations would easily meet the 100 ton threshold and fall under regulation. In fact, USDA has stated that any operation with more than 25 dairy cows, or 50 beef cattle would have to obtain permits. According to USDA statistics, this would cover about 99 percent of dairy production and over 90 percent of beef production in the United States.

As the proposal stands today, the permit fees would equate to a “tax” of $175 per dairy cow and $87.50 per beef cow.

Greenhouse gas regulation under the Clean Air Act would not only adversely impact livestock producers but all farmers. Crop production emits nitrous oxide from fertilizer and methane from rice production, and fields that emit 100 tons of carbon would also be subject to permitting requirements as well. Any Florida farm with 500 acres of corn, 250 acres of soybeans, 350 acres of potatoes or only 35 acres of rice would be forced to obtain Clean Air Act permits.

Emissions from farm machinery and energy used in production might also be added. Regulation of other economic sectors will result in increased fuel, fertilizer and energy costs for all farmers and ranchers.

really.
a flat tax.
okay.
lets tax you and those billionaires 90% of your incomes.
we'll see who makes it.

You ever wonder why all those companies went overseas under Clinton?Because half of what they were making were going to Federal and State taxes.Could you imagine making a billion and 500 million is already gone before expenses and payroll?

The more you tax the more you hurt the economy. The more you cut taxes the better the economy does. You want to see the unemployment drop to 4% and see a record stock market jump.Tell all those companies instead of paying 34% under Obama you will be paying 8% under someone else.I can promise you this country would roar back to life creating more jobs then ever before.

why does everyone like to say they shoved this down our throats.
haha.
can't anyone come up with a new saying.
i don't think this place is going to get better just because of a different party.
the top ten percent in the nation run this thing.

If your talking about Obama care then I would have to say it did get shoved down our throats. This one one of the most important bills in Americas history that will effect everyone. It is also the only bill in Americas history that will force everyone to pay into private companies. We should have had a vote on this issue.

There is no doubt in my mind this nation is going to get better because of a different party.Any economist and businessman would rather have Republicans running the show than Democrats.I know most business's desperately want Obama care off of their backs in this crappy economy. Can't say anyone is looking forward to billions in new taxes under cap and trade and that fraud called Global warming. Both are supported and thought up by Democrats.

You think poverty rates have gone down since Obama took office? surprised

how do you expect him to fix this nation.

I have lots of solutions.

Deport all the illegals in jail and prisons to the countries they came from.
Put caps on Government employees. Most government jobs would be capped at $90,000 a year.
You drive a Government car you pay for your own fuel.Hotels would be capped at $80.00 a night. No services like massages and spas under the tax payer dime.
Sell Nasa to private companies.
Put a hold on buying new military hardware such as ships and airplanes for two years.
Have a flat tax rate for everyone.
No bottled water for Government employees.Bring your own.
Stop funding for abortions overseas.
Stop wasteful spending on stupid projects like studying prostitutes overseas.
Add more people to combat Medicare fraud.

How is that for beginners?

I think a better title for this post would be "differences between being spiritual and being Christian.

Christianity isn't as black and white and absolute as you often claim. There are many forms of Christianity with different ways of worshiping.Catholics have a entirely different way of worshiping then do the Mormons.According to the World Christian Encyclopedia (year 2000 version), global Christianity had 33,820 denominations with 3,445,000 congregations.

So if you are looking for a specific way to look at Christianity you have 33,820 different view points on how to worship God and Jesus and what kind of life to live.Of course all these viewpoints all Holy bible based with Jesus Christ as their savior.

Good deeds does not get a person anything in this life or the next no matter what you are doing.Good deeds are good for the community and your neighbors like you but God does not reward a non believer the same as he does one of his believers.Even so called Christians who claim they are a Christians yet do everything the bible tells them not to do are in danger or serious judgment from God and will be punished in many cases worse than a non believer since Christians know they are disobeying Gods word.

Matthew 7:21-23

21 Not everyone who says to Me, "Lord, Lord," shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
22 Many will say to Me in that day, "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?"
23 And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness."

I think it is also important to remember for Christians your actions will get you punishment and rewards through your actions.I firmly believe those who live by the bible and follow God's words have a much easier and longer life in general than those who do not.

As far as what happens to the non believers despite how good they are.The bible is pretty clear that non believers will be cast into Hell when they die.People often think this idea is flawed and many believe they are going to heaven anyways but this is a lie and there is only one way out of Hell and that is through the belief in Jesus Christ.

When people have problems with this logic.I tell them,"what if all the Christians were wrong and Islam was the true religion. If you died and went to their heaven would you say you deserved the same eternal life and rewards as Muslims even though you haven't done anything at all including reading a single page from their bible"?Seems pretty stupid doesn't it?It's the same logic with Christianity. Why should a Athiest get the same rewards as a Christian who has spent his or her whole going to church, following the bible, and doing what God has commanded?

Christians will be held accountable for their actions, lies, blasphemies, and many other things when they are judged before God.

1 Corinthians 3 says it best...

10 By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. 11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, 13 their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 14 If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. 15 If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved—even though only as one escaping through the flames.

16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 17 If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.

18 Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. 19 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness”[a]; 20 and again, “The Lord knows that the thoughts of the wise are futile.” 21 So then, no more boasting about human leaders! All things are yours, 22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas[c] or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, 23 and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.

Matthew 16:26-27
"For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works."

Revelation 22:11-12
"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."

uke 21:1-4
"And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury.

And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites.

And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all:

For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had."

Ugh!

Begin quote:

Pamela Anderson's plans to donate the earnings from her Playboy cover shoot to an Indonesian disaster relief fund have been slammed by a hardline Islamic group.

Anderson announced the plans on her own website, saying “I’ve just shot another Playboy cover that will debut in January for Hugh Hefner, at his request -- I adore him. Playboy and I decided to do this, so I could donate earnings from the shoot to Waves for Water.”

But the Islamic Defenders Front on Monday told Indonesia's Metro TV that the donation to the charity -- which works to bring clean drinking water to disaster hit zones -- would be "against the law of God" because it was obtained through "immoral acts."

End Quote:

What does this mean to you?

We are getting lectured about "Immoral acts" by followers of Islam?Never mind forced marriages with a 9 year old girl to a 50 year old guy, never mind cutting peoples heads off, never mind beatings of women in public, bombings, etc.

I think getting a lecture about morals from muslims is about as ironic as it gets.
