Zee's Pub! - part 7

yup.. the whole dang house is a remodeling project
just so happens this past weekend (plus the 3 prior to) I've been working on the latest 'project'.. a jigsaw puzzle actually.. of my hall floor.. I've created a kind of ladder, if you will, intermixing the hardwood and ceramic tiles.. however I'm ALmost done.. only have the tiles to lay in and fill the 3/4" gap all the way down one side.. so lots of cutting left to do for the strips to fit just right.. me'n ma big imagination.. and my "I can do anything I put my mind to" attitude.. can kinda put myself into challenging situations at times.. and this is definitely one o'them times so.. Mod is it?? congrats Dave! |

I think that the goal of the people involved, might be the real key. When people with differences start "discussing" or "arguing" or "debating" those differences, and the goal of one or both is to WIN, the results usually have a negative impact on the relationship. When instead, the participants are both dedicated to finding ways to get along, the exact same [whatevers] tend to have very positive results. well said! I couldn't agree more about the key being in the 'goal' or motive.. my ex had only winning in mind, always(no exaggeration of the word) had to be right.. I call it his 'Jekyll / Hyde' personality.. if I disagreed, the monster appeared.. personally, I'd rather find ways/solutions to any given issue.. there's enough strife in the world and I feel the home should be a haven.. and that a couple should be able to navigate through their conflicting opinions with open communication.. so again agree, that 'finding ways to get along' does tend to result in a positive way... |

don't listen to him ^^
I see 4 issues you may want to address.. but this is just MY opinion though.. firstly.. you're age puts you at 32.. and in your profile you say you were married 17 years.. that would mean you got married at 14/15 years old?? that's a lil unsettling.. maybe wanna skip that part and leave it for when someone gets to know you a bit better?? just a thought.. secondly... you work 6 days a week from 4am till whenever?? that doesn't sound like you'd have much time to invest in a budding (if not long-term) relationship.. you might just wanna say you have a demanding job and if you meet THE girl.. MAKE time.. thirdly.. you're comment about growing "old & moldy with" is a bit of a turn off.. I'd find something more romantic to replace THAT with.. and lastly... you're comment about "kiss on the forehead while she's sleeping" is a tad off-putting.. you may want to replace that, too, with something more romantic! other than that.. you're pics are nice and the rest is good! best of luck in your search! |

Can you genuinely remove arguing from a relationship or do you believe arguing is a natural part of a healthy relationship? I believe that a healthy relationship is based on honesty & open communications.. which to me does NOT include arguing! I feel you can have a decent conversation without yelling or being dramatic.. which usually only incites arguments.. something I like to steer clear of personally.. What happens if you find arguing detrimental but your partner finds it natural? if you can't find level ground and are always feeling like the other is 'ready for a fight'.. you're in the wrong relationship.. in MY opinion.. What’s the difference between an argument and a debate? to me a debate is when 2 people can discuss a topic without getting emotionally invested, to the point of 'boiling'.. you can have a heated debate, but those too I tend to shy away from.. I'm not opposed to confrontation, although I would prefer it NOT be with my partner (and would hope my partner feels the same).. so I'll agree to disagree and suggest another topic of conversation.. |

I COULD fall into that category.. IF I was serious.. but I rarely am(unless of course the situation called for it)..

I try Dave.. but life doesn't always permit.. I'm at my desk working for 10 to 12 hrs a day, 4 days a week.. plus still attacking my renos (that's on day 5) did I mention I have a BIG house?? day 6 is housework.. you know.. dusting, vacuuming, dishes etc.. and day 7 is running around doing errands & groceries(plus the laundry).. doesn't leave much time for play.. YET!
but ONE day.. all this'll be done (reno's I mean lol) with only 1 day a week.. it's kinda hard to move forward quickly.. I'm currently laying hardwood and tiles on the hall floor.. 22' in length x 3.5' in width.. it's a bit of a challenge as I've got wood going in different directions, and floor & wall ducts to cut around.. guess you could say it's a "puzzling" challenge! anywho.. there's a lil over 1/3 done.. jigsaw anyone?? laying the hardwood flooring in the living room has a different challenge.. getting all the big furniture out (the challenge is WHERE to put it all ) so I can install another 'imagined' design.. and for some reason I can never seem to dream up "normal'n simple" anywho.. got a few things left to do before crawling into that big comfy bed.. tammarra's anudder early day |

It's warm, cold, warm, snowing, etc.. I'm ready for spring.. really?? you have no life? no worries.. you know I don't have one either.. glad we had a chance to catch up.. .. hey..we were snowed under this weekend.. mind you.. not as bad as our BC pals.. they got buried in over 30" of the white stuff, we only had about 18".. poor buggers.. most of'em don't even own snow tires! they're not tough like us Easterners.. we're used to shoveling it high.. got a big weekend planned with family but I'll try reaching out.. miss you bunches (((((sis)))) |

New @ Mingle2 for 2017
|
|
Mingle2's Canadian members have their own show on the Mingle2 TV Network. Based on the long-running discussion thread What r u thinking about right now??, the show is . . . The show is inspired by the 1970s Canadian TV program . . . By the way, Mingle2's roving reporter has discovered what Auguste Rodin's The Thinker does when nobody is watching. . . . .and you Humans thought that The Thinker was just a statue. that, and of course.. the ever popular, long running Bob and Doug Mckenzie show! |
