I just had a 60-something guy show up on my mutual match thing, and he was "looking for a woman for marriage" o0

I'm not against marrying someone older than me (actually, I am, because I'm not wanting to get married, but anyway...) but I'm 21, 40+ years differnce is past "meh" and into "creepy" in my opinion.

I went to his desk at work today and "knock knock knock, Brandon, knock knock knock, Brandon, knock knock knock Brandon"rofl

I did you one better. I used the text-to-speech software on my computer when I knocked on my brother's door laugh

I believed my son when he said he couldn't help it.

If only all parents would actually listen to their children like that :)

My son has epilepsy and dislexia. I have no idea if we will ever get his meds and VNS correct to where he goes w/o a seizure for a month or two. He has been receiving treatment for four years now, and we so do not know if he will grow out of it or not. My youngest son has ADHD diagnosed this year. I feel lucky because its not epilepsy and easier to control.

ADHD has such a bad reputation, so many people don't consider it a "real" disorder. I know from experience that it is a very real disorder. I myself don't know what problems stem from ADD/ADHD, and what stems from my autism, and which ones are from both.

Come to Wichita - it's dead after 10pm. Midnight at the latest. Even Starbuck's closes at 10pm. Hell, the freaking river (Keeper plaza) closes at midnight. Who ever heard of the river closing at night? o0

Not everything closes. The Wal-Mart I work at is open all night! Except for Christmas Eve and Most of Christmas day!

True, but there's not a lot to do there - even at Wal-Mart I've seen large areas of the store roped off at night, and stockers unpacking stuff, and at the one I go to there's a creepy stalker stocker. He'll seriously follow you around the aisles o0

The Keeper closes at midnight! Geesh, I had no clue. I drive by it on my way home from work and love to see the fire going. One of these nights, I will stop and see it up close.

Oh, do! It's wonderful. I live right by it and I go almost every night. It's on 15 minutes at a time at 7pm Sun-Thurs and 7 and 8pm Fri/Sat in the winter

Does anyone here sing on midomi.com ?

I do...but not because I can actually sing. Just to add to the database. I figure if people who can't sing need to find a song, then they'll find it easier if there's a match from someone who can't sing laugh

Oh yes.

If I had the choice, I'd go to bed around 7 or 8 am. I've always been a night own, since the day I was born.

"See, skinny socially-privileged white people get to draw this neat little circle. Everyone inside the circle is 'normal'; anyone outside the circle should be beaten, broken and reset so they can be brought into the circle. Failing that they should be institutionalized, or worse, pitied"

Or...

"live for that little dash there in between"

I kind of like donating blood. I always eat shredded wheat before I go - loaded with iron. It doesn't hurt to give blood, and you're helping others in need. And I don't know about where you are, but here you also get free sloppy joes, and they're damn good, too ^.^

A combination of both.

I'm actually not a very altruistic person. If I help somone else, it's really because it's either helping me, or I enjoy it anyway. Like...volunteering at the zoo, for example. I don't do it just to be nice, I do it because I like it, and I get free admission and other discounts.

Eljay, may I suggest reading the other 8 pages of discussion? You're bring up old points that have been discussed ad nauseum...such as what constitutes a theory.

So why are kids being taught that man has a common ancester with an ape when there is no way to verify it? I agree with you. We should not be teaching scientology to our children - though that has not stopped them from getting it into the classrooms. So too with Darwanism.

GET IT OUT OF THE CLASSROOMS!

If you want Darwinism throw out of school, then all other theories on the origin of life should be thrown out as well. Then there would not me any anthropology allowed in school, save for some cultural anthropology. No archaeology. No biological anthropology. And since we're throwing out all theories, no religion. And since children wouldn't have a foundation for these things, then it would be eliminated from colleges too. Then anyone who knows anything about it now will eventually die, and nobody will know anything about those subjects anymore.

Closeing your eyes, plugging you ears, and screaming "LA LA LA! I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" isn't the answer.

I'm fine with teaching creationism and intelligent design in school, just not in the science classroom, as they are not scientific theories. Likewise, evolution should be taught in the science classroom, and not in religious classes.

Who has ever stated that I.D. is a "scientific theory"?

The idiots in Kansas that insist it should be taught in science classes. I again point you in the direction of the Flying Spaghetti Monster

Genetics has nothing to do with Evolution. What's your point?

Genetics has EVERYTHING to do with evolution.

The best thing you can do for yourself is self-educate, not define yourself with a defintion that was created for convience and out of societys norms which are far from enlightened to say the lest.

For some people, a diagnosis can be very helpful. When the diagnosis comes with education, one can finally make sense of everything they've experienced in the past. Personally, my anxiety level has dropped so much since my diagnosis, because I'm not worry anymore about why I don't do things right or why I don't understand some things. I know why. I feel more free to be myself instead of having to pretend to be "normal."
