I think I don't care either in all reality. : ) Good, then we're of the same mindset! |

In all reality, I don't ultimately care what you think, as I'm not changing anything.
I am, however, intensely curious. So go ahead, say what you think, but don't expect change ;) |

I just wish family would be accepting - I still haven't even been able to tell anyone in my family except my little brother.

The wonderful weather

As long as I don't get stuck at work, alone, for 2 hours, I'm fine with snow.
But last year was a living hell. Hell apparently froze over. I barely got into the parking lot where I work, and it took me nearly 2 hours of rocking, digging, and a ton of kitty litter to get out. Of course as soon as I get out, the snow plow comes >.< Thank the flying spaghetti monster that I work at a vet clinic, or I wouldn't have had the benefit of having all-you-can-use kitty litter. I broke 2 ice scrapers digging my car out though. I'm sure the spare tire on the front right side didn't help any, considering my car is front wheel drive :-/ But before last year, I don't remember much snow. Ice, sometimes, yes, but not snow. Hell, last year I got a day off from school because nothing happened >.< They said it would snow, the university closed, and then it never snowed. |

How about nerdy bordering on geeky with not enough cash flow to get geeked xD I do enjoy looking at cooling fans and drooling over freakishly large capacity harddrives with my brother, though Hey aspiegirl, how are ya? Freakishly large capacity hard drives really do it for me I have seven hard drives in my main computer at home. The largest two I have set in a Raid 0 array with a total of 1 terabyte of storage. I have two more set up in another Raid 0 array which has 250 gigabytes of storage. The other three are 80gb, 150gb and 120gb each and I use them for backing up my important data. Bwahaha, it took a lot to not get the 1 terabyte external harddrive when I got my portable one. Settled on 250 gigs . My pathetic computer only has 30 gigs internal and won't let me use Linux because of the stupid monitor :/ New computer, here I come! xD A girl who knows what linux is? That's astonishing all in itself! Kudos to you, but I'm sure there are ways around monitor issues. You'll figure it out. :-) I believe that you guys are talking more along the lines of gamer girls, which are all great and good, just not 'geek girls,' imo. But don't get me wrong, they're all great! I'm just leaning more towards the computer science-esque type. I find it attractive if a girl desires to break away from the hold that Microsoft has over computers nowadays. If a girl can compile her own kernel or speak numbers in a base other than ten, and/or code like the keyboard's on fire, I would melt upon shaking her hand. Not so hot with the coding - I've been wanting to learn programming for years but never got around to it. I'm going to start teaching myself Visual Basic soon (with the help of books of course). |

Of course they can. Life would be kind of hard if you wanted to hump every man that crossed your path
Seriously, though, I think so. I mean, I had friends all through school that were guys, and never really even thought about any attraction that may or may not be there. That being said, I can be sort of aloof to that kind of thing quite often :/ |

I'm just looking for something new - why stick to one OS when you've never tried something else that may be better? Also the problems associated with XP SP3 were just enough to put me over the edge to "no more Windows."
I've just taken a look at another version of Linux, called Elive, that looks somewhat interesting. I'm probably going to end up getting a desktop fairly soon, so if I can't get Linux working on my laptop because of the external monitor, I can always try it out on the desktop. I just don't see the point in getting my laptop screen replaced for $300 when I can get a new computer for just a little bit more (or for the same price, even, if I wasn't so picky about screen size. I can't possibly use anything less than 14", and I prefer at least 15.4"). |

I tried Puppy yesterday, but ran into a problem because my laptom screen doesn't work, I have an external monitor. It wasn't picking up the external monitor at all.
I think I will try Ubuntu, though - yes, Puppy loads fast, but I don't think it's quite what I'm looking for. And I did do a backup right before I tried Puppy ;) |

I'm still single because I'm socially inept and wouldn't know flirting even if there was a big neon sign saying "FLIRTING IN PROGRESS" above the guy's head.
And there's the bit about not playing well with others... |
