Oh - I see, a game of semantics. This argument only holds true if I accept your premise that anyone who follows the text of the cannonized bible and whatever they wish to add t it, is a christain.
But I seriously doubt that we agree on the premise of who is a chrstian and who isn't, so this discussion can't get past the main premise. Just list me in the percentage of christains that says that the bible does not evolve, and we'll leave it at that. You have yet to even address that question on the atheists thread about what it means to be a "true Christian." I listed over 29 different definitions taken from the bible. There is clearly no consensus even amongst early Christians. |

Well this would certainly explain those lists of "scientists" that supposedly support Creationism over Evolutionary Theory. Although those lists under closer scrutiny clearly indicate that anyone can sign them and there always seems to be a significant shortage of biological scientists on them. It just goes to show you that even educated people can hold stupid beliefs.

Real science is what happens when you look at the facts. Creation science is what happens when you ignore the facts you don't like. So where's the documentation on the experimental evidence of recreating the evolving of man from this "Ancestrial not-an-ape-but-close-enough" in the lab. I'd like to read it for myself. What does that mean?

Evolution does not say that man evolved from chimps, but that they had a common ancestor. Perhaps you should study what evolution actually says before you make your claims. So how exactly do you have a "common ancestor" with another creature and not share the same gentics? Makes no sense to me. You understand you are not a chimp correct? A hominid is any member of the biological family Hominidae (the "great apes"), including the extinct and extant humans, chimpanzees, gorillas, and orangutans. This was our common ancestor. Forensic artists made this model from her skeletal remains. 
This is a fleshed out model rendition of Lucy. "Lucy" (Australopithecus afarensis) dating back about 3 million years. And you understand that the reaity of this photo comes from the mind of the designer and the scultpter that molded it - don't you. And you understand this sculpture was created by Forensic model makers who work for investigative authorities. They took the actual skeletal remains of Australopithecus Afarensis or you might remember her as "Lucy." Im not sure how familiar you are with missing persons but when the police locate a skull and that is all they have to go on, they employ these forensic artists to literally reconstruct the face from the ground up. The same was done with this skull. Some of these reproductions have been so close that family members have been able to identify their loved ones using them. I feel its a reasonably close replica. And by this you are referring to the scientists who research and espouse evolutionary theory? Are you saying they actually believe in god and know what they are teaching is false in some respect? Thats delusional. Sorry.

It really does not matter what anyone believes as long as they live good lives and remain true to themselves! Goodness based on what? Goodness based on an internal moral compass. Goodness based on decent behavior without expectation of rewards or punishment after you are dead. |

i was wondering if any women on here has been engaged to get married but ended up having to call it off. i was engaged to get married to my ex girlfriend back in 06 but i had to call it off I agreed to marry at one point but then backed out. It was during the engagement and not like I waited till a month before or something. He was upset with me but got over it. I returned the ring as I felt some degree of guilt. |

Some good news though. In Berlin a polar bear had a baby. I think it was the first time this happened in a zoo for polar bears. Not sure, but saw it on my satellite dish watching German television. I hope more countries will try hard to save the polar bear. Thats good. Im not a big fan of zoos or captive breeding programs but with animals such as this and chimps and gorillas and tigers, they are basically losing the ability to reproduce on their own in the wild due to destruction of their native lands. Its becoming an either/or situation. |

What's funny is there are a lot of people believe in the Yes/ Yes.No / No.Yes / No ... theory for global warming. BUT they won't follow the same for God.
What’s funny is this statement. There is DOCUMENTED scientific proof that global warming is taking place. There is nothing of a sort for your Christian godhead or any other faith based creator.
