Twas' the funeral of my mentor,
handmade bookmarks were passed around.
He was a spirited, yet gentle pastor,
And love surely did abound.

I look down,
this piece is about him..
a servant: patient, apt to teach
in meekness instructing..
With a frown,
we'll not see him again..
and so many he did reach!
But tis' time to end the suckling:)

My Captian, he said one line at a time,
a mental wedgie, twas likely to give.
All he wanted was to see us climb
up out of the sh*t and begin to live.

Any message I ever pass on will be
out of love and courage he shared with me.
