Faith may be enough.
|
|
As stated in other posts that I have made, I don't really believe in a God or some powerful Deity that watches our every move and decides what to do with us from there.
What I do believe, however, is that nobody is truly wrong in what they believe. Why? Because it seems we are all trying to find the same answers, but in different ways. Faith has been the most powerful tool I've ever used or seen. We can not prove that what we believe in is fact but we can have the faith, and that alone will allow us to know that it is true. I do not believe any one belief is right, and I never will believe that. All of our beliefs and ideas were set in motion before we were born. We never had the proof to claim that our ideas are right, but we've always had the faith that maybe something is really right, and hopefully by our faith alone, we will accomplish what we seek. I say, "why bother with religion when you can just simple believe in life itself." This life is how we make it. If you want to be a part of a huge religion, or if you don't, more power to you. It's all about choice, and it's all about how we see our belief. No matter who you are, and no matter what you do, just know that this life is far more magical than anything else that we can not prove or even see. Step away from your belief, and have faith that life is the grand prize. It's up to you to decide what to do with such a great gift. |

Awww now cowboys in those wranglers walking away ohhh hell ya mighty fine scene to me lol *pukes, everywhere* Wranglers + Country Boy = Smelly Redneck Then again, I have seen some "cowboys" with class. I just can't get past the image of them slopping the hogs and tending to the cattle. Sometimes I do not like Texas. |

Hauling down the road with trainers from the south for so long I tend to have a bit of that in the way I speak. I think there is nothing sexier than a great guy saying "Yes, Maam".....WOW Nothing wrong with saying "yes, maam." That's a very polite thing to say in the south. But when they use that southern accent... it makes me shudder. |

southern accents are SOOOOO hot. southern guys are even hotter. lol amen but whats hotter is a southern cowboy mmmmmm Yes, a smelly cowboy who likes to chew tobacco, spit a lot, drive around in their old beat-up truck, and drink a lot of beer while sounding incredibly southern. Count me out. LOL, they don't understand cause they don't live here. No, they really do not. The cowboys you see in the movies are nothing like they are in, let's say, West Texas. |

I've lived in Texas all of my life.
I had a southern accent for a while when I was younger, but as I got older, I began to not like it at all. Try living in a hick town for a while and then tell me how you feel about the accent. People say I sound canadian and Irish. |

Hay all,Life is what you make of it and your the who has to have the spirit to do it,just remember how you were as a kid and its still inside you.You just have to let it out and enjoy life. I suppose you are right. But there is something else. There is something that really made my childhood liberating. I've not found it. I hope I do. |

How come, girl was there when I needed one
How come, girl was there when the song is done Some say, open your eyes to a brighter light Okay, open my arms they were right She was my soul one She felt she was the only one She was the sun, the sky blue eyes She was my soul one Inside, pain in my heart often made her cry Outside, I cursed the birds and the sugar sky How long take to realize shes the one How long until I find my lost and lonely soul one She was my soul one She felt like the only one She was the sun, the sky blue eyes She was my soul one Should of never taken the time cause I found myself living a lonely lie You said, you left to find yourself But I never, no I never got the chance to say good-bye She was my soul one I though she was. |

I can not stand people who say "you do not understand love" or the infamous "you're too young to know love."
I don't think that. There is love everywhere you go. There is love between the plants and the trees, the animals and the forest, the water and the stream. Everything is capable of some sort of love. Every thing on this planet is capable of feeling love. Some view love different than others, and some get so trapped in love that they can't seem to get out. Love is not limited to loving someone from the opposite sex. Love isn't something that can only be found through marriage or a long commitment. Love can be found anywhere you look, even in the most obscure places. |

I miss my youth. I really do.
Sure, my childhood was not a happy one due to my depression and anxiety problems... but I still miss it greatly. Can you remember when everything was magical, mysterious, and wonderful? Can you remember how that felt? Seems my roommate and I are both mourning over the loss of our youth. A part of my youth will always be with me, but it's come to the point where I feel that the majority of what made my youth so magical is now leaving me. It's funny how time flies. So now I am left with adult decisions. What am I going to do with my life? Where do I see myself in the next year? Do I want to get married in the future? Though some of these decisions are a little trivial, it seems that's all I have to look forward to. It is sad to think that way. I can only hope that as I get older, I will always still have a little piece of that magic inside of me. |

It's not cool to idolize.

...
Just don't idolize. The famous people probably get annoyed by it, and other people will probably think you are a moron... Yeah, because Quentin Tarantino is a hack who makes worthless juvenile movies. Heeeere we go... gonna get some unkind words stuffing my inbox again... I can agree with what you said. His movies just aren't my cup of tea. |

We will all have our bad times in life.
There will be moments when everything collapses around us at an alarming rate. It almost seems like we can not breathe, and we can feel the world overwhelming us. But don't give up on anything. What makes us feel truly alive is when we hit our lowest. We can truly understand how we as people work. We can begin to understand the struggle that life throws at us. It doesn't matter what may happen in your life. If you can remain positive, keep looking ahead, and remain in this very moment, nothing can stop us from achieving the unreachable. We have to throw away regret and doubt, and we have to realize that it could be worse; we could be dead. Life is too wonderful for anyone to just give up. There is beauty around you at all times. Some may not see it, but it is there. To be at peace with ourselves, we have to know what we are capable of. And it is that moment of truth that really defines who we are. It's when we battle for so long that we finally understand who we really are. No matter what may happen to you in this life, keep your head up. There is so much going on right now, and we're waiting on you to be a part of it. |

This thread was inspired by something I did tonight.
A guy and his family were stranded in Austin. From what he was saying, a kid of his was sick, and they had to go see him. I ended up giving him some money for gas, and I gave him my gas can so he could fill up his car. He shook my hand, and asked for my name. I may never see this man again, and I may never receive that kindness back... but it makes me feel good to at least know that maybe I helped him out in a big way. |
