I'll Borrow from Harry Truman here I just speak the truth and it feels like persecution. LOL Proverbs 12:17-20 "He who speaks truth declares righteousness, but a false witness, deceit. There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health. The truthful lip shall be established forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment. Deceit is in the heart who devise evil, but counselors of peace have joy. |

Happy New Year, yzrabbit & cuzinwhiteboy. I pray GOD will bless you guys & prosper you in this New Year.
Mathew5:43-45, "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor & hate your enemy'. But I (JESUS) tell you: Love your enemies & pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in Heaven. HE causes his sun to rise on the evil & the good, & sends rain on the righteous & the unrighteous." |

Sure GOD loves ignorant people; even non believers like you. HE is an awesome GOD. You should get to know HIM better than you could feel better about yourself. And yes, HE wants us to know about the world. HE gives us insight on people who misdirect the subject to portray themselves above the rest.

Britty,
I don't really feel concrete definitions or evidence is appropiate for these GODLY creations. It is written in James 3:14-16; 'If you harbor bitter envy & selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such "wisdom" does not come from down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. For where you have envy& selfish ambition, there you find disorder & every evil practice.' GOD bless you, lady for trying. |

Hey Cuzinwhitboy,
I have the old testament also which is pre budda or whatever you have. but thanks for the advice, perhaps you should look into the old testament. GOD bless you |

So you're buddist down grading Christians. How well did you read that? Your statement here doesn't have one truth in it. You said in your previous post "...seeking other ancient manuscripts & give those interpretations." So I mentioned another ancient manuscript that was probably instrumental in the writing of the Bible. |

Those were good points iamgeorgiagirl, jess & theemachine. as for as for my post, I guess a misdirection is avoidance. Some may find it hard to answer and for those who find understanding the bible might ought seeking other ancient manuscripts & give those interpretations. OF course, if you need someone to help you with the meaning of what's in the bible, there are many here that would be glad to help you.

My fight with depression
|
|
Hey JRod, sorry you're going through depression. Like others & yourself, I've been there to. Holidays seem to bring it on more than any other time of the year.
I'm on Lexapro also but did do counseling & now am into counseling others. So, try this out. Look back into your past & see if there is anyone you haven't forgiven for something they have hurt you about. It's not that you are giving them permission to hurt you again, it's getting yourself free from the bondage of unforgiveness. They don't even have to know they are forgiven. You can forgive someone without reconciling the relationship. A good way to do this is to set up a chair in front of you, without any noise, treat that chair like it was the person who hurt you & tell them how they hurt you & that you are going to forgive them. Cry if you have to; it's okay & part of the process of forgiving. Another thing you need to work on is negatives. There is no doubt you are saying negatives about yourself. For each negative try saying 5 positives about yourself like; you're a caring person, you are responsible, you take care of yourself, things as such. This will take some work on your part because like me, you have to relearn your way of thinking. Let me know how it goes & if I can help you out in any other way. Oh, if you consume alcohol, stop. It's a depressant. I'm standing with you in this. T mie |

Peanuts

This guy went to a hardware store to purchase some plumbing supplies. He handed the elderly clerk his list & the elderly clerk went to the back of the store to fill out his order. After a while, the guy grew hungry & looked around for a vending machine but couldn't find any. He looked around the counter & BEHOLD! a small bowl of shelled peanuts. He grabbed a few, threw them into his mouth, looked around grabbed a few more & threw them into his mouth, looked around again, grabbed a handful, threw them into his mouth just as the elderly clerk returned with his order. Feeling guilty, the guy says, "Uh, I got hungry waiting & I couldn't find a vending machine but found these shelled peanuts behind the counter. I'll pay you what I owe you for them." "Aw", said the elderly clerk, "it's alright. Since I lost my teeth, all I can do is suck the chocolate off of them anyway."

Thank you, Britty but if you had to sacrifice one for another which would you choose? If you mate had to reduce his job time to show you he loves you, would you allow it or make the sacarifice of other things for his devotion & time?

Number One Cause of Divorce

Thanks everyone for your response. It looks like 95% of you feel emotional stability is far more important than financial support.
I really need help with the next one; Why is finances the number one cause of divorce in the U.S.? |

Well, My ex supposedly left because she found her "soul mate"....rather than money.....but she not only left me...she left her 2 little girls behind as well and she moved 1700 miles away. He will not move so she can be near her children. Would you leave financial stability and your children for your "soul mate"?
Well, I wouldn't leave the children and there maybe other issues as well. I'm sorry you had to go through that. |
