Well for those that know me, by nanny and grandad are in a nursing home.
Nanny just went in a few months ago, well she has been sick with lung problems. I just got a call from dad who works at hospital that she got taken there by ambulance. Swollen toungue, and fast pulse of 120. My mom and dad and aunt are there. I am about 10 mins from hospital but was told to stay at work, not much I can do other then support family if I was there. Anyway please say a prayer for her. Thanks ! |

Thanks all, my parents work at hospital, Dad just called they are going to intubate or try now if that doesn't work then they will need to do a emergency trach.

Precious Father,
We know you are the Great Physician and can do all things. We pray a hedge of protection around Kojack's family, particularly his Nanny. Lord, we pray for your favor and ask that you heal her, even now, as only you can. Guide the hands and judgement of the doctors, nurses, and respiratory therapists who surround her. Heal her, Lord, if that be your will. You know it is our will that she be spared any pain. In Jesus' name.......... |

well 10 mins or 10 millions miles... I would bwant to be there. When my Grannie passed 10 marines with machine guns could not have kept me out of the room.
I know that we all deal differently. you said all you can do if you go is be thee for your family... They probably need you!! God Bless you and your family.. I will pray for you and her. |

you said all you can do if you go is be thee for your family... They probably need you!! They only allow one person in room at a time, and if having intubation or trach no one till over, so... Dad and Mom work there and Aunt wants me to stay back so I can pick up cousins if need be. |

well in my life lessons and from the expierences I have had you can stay in the room with the patient during intubation they allow family in the room. however I would not want to be ion there if they were placing a trach. Thats not fun to watch. But they will allow you in there if you want to be.
I have not been in this type of situation in other states only in texas and I am "Medical" so that also might be the difference. |

I am a LPN and I know in CT and other states it is different.
But ty for your prayers. Update She is now breathing better with antibiotic therapy, she is in ICU for observation, and they are holding off for now on any intubation or Trach procedure |
