are you talking about the timeline? That seems to be the time everything started when that was introduced. The timeline sucks! FB was screwed up long before that came out though. Sometimes I think Suckerberg used to work for the government. If something works fine as is, they have to 'improve' it which ultimately makes it worse...

If I had all the money I spent on tools....man....I'd be... yea...but I can't do without them. I make my living with them. Have many that have only one purpose.... But they make the job sooooo easy!!!!! Ain't THAT the truth! Or the ones that you just CAN'T do a job without (and you can't exactly buy them just anywhere). Or the ones you pay mega-bucks for just so that you can get one job done and end up never using it again.
That would include almost ALL my electronics..... But.....the cost was worth it...... When ya consider my hourly rate and the time these have saved!!!! Most have paid for themselves!!!! No doubt there. Especially with electronics. I'm WAY overdue to update my one piece, but with that $9,000 price tag (plus the occasional $1,000 software updates), I've been putting it off just a bit.
Yea I got the same problem......Not gonna use that enough ta make it a wise investment...... Mostly cause I hate EFI bikes. Can't wrap my old school mind around it. Too restrictive in preformance.... I can do amazing things with....carberation!!!!! Carbs are getting more scarce everyday on bikes though, so it's only a matter of time before you have little choice than to get with the times. On cars, carbs are WAY a thing of the past. I still see more of those than points though. But, EFI being more restrictive? NO WAY! Adding bigger injectors, playing with the regulator or reprogramming the PROM you can fine tune them infinitely! Sure, it's a whole bunch different than throwing some jets at it, but you can get all the performance you could ever want out of it.
Not as true with Harley as you might think. For one, their software is difficult to get you're hands on, but I can. Then ya got catalitic conv, epa restriction and limited choices in injectors. I'm not sayin ya can't get preformance out of 'em, just sayin my carb bikes will smoke 'em every time!!! When the hell did they start putting cats on bikes? Screw the EPA restrictions. Bikes are exempt from emissions testing in PA (for now, anyway), so I could care less about that. lol Then again, I don't pay attention to the safety inspection on mine either (it hasn't been inspected since 1996.  ).........
I used to live in Reading. Had my bike shop in Pottstown. Pa will be catching up soon, thanks to our wonderful Govt. Yes....they are putting cats on bikes. Nothing is sacred....anymore!!!! Yeah, our govt can't let us have anything good for long before they either ban it, tax it to hell, or screw it up. I don't give it much longer before they start regulating lawn mowers! Well, ok, in a way they already are working on it with gas prices. Between the price of gas and the Cash for Clunkers a few years back they're already getting the 'good' cars off the street and indirectly promoting electric cars (I'm waiting to see how many ways they find to profit off of that once it's widespread). Unless, they screw that up and it turns into another money wasting flop like the govt run emissions testing here in the 90's. |
