Why I am not getting any reply from any persons

Besides for what Nascar said, it also helps to spend time in the forums and let people get to know you. Quite often I wont reply to anybody's mail if they don't post here at least a little (except maybe if I'm really bored or if their profile intrigues me).

Finding a girlfriend is easy. All I do is drive around in an old van with the words "Free Coach purses" spray painted on the side and they come running from all sides. Those relationships usually don't last very long though. Normally just till they find out that there are no purses. Maybe they'd last longer if they shared my interest in driving around in spray painted vans with a rubber chicken...

There are some scammers here (there are on practically any site), but I've met quite a few people on here that are very much real. Only a handful I've met in person due to distance, but I've known them long enough and talked to them long enough (some for almost a decade now) other places than here. After a while on here you kind of get a second sense of who the scammers are after about 30 seconds....

The latest I had heard was quite the opposite..that police
departments all over the country are getting head cams.

Keeps everyone somewhat honest I would think.

Body/head cams are getting more and more popular in depts and it's just a matter of time before all of them have one. I think the main reason there aren't more of them yet is just because of budget restrictions, especially in small towns. Which is also a primary reason that alot of those LEO's are only part-time and working for $8-12/hr. Kind of a catch 22 actually. The depts that can pay their cops $36-80k/yr and have cams generally have the 'better' cops who more often don't need 'big brother' while the poorer depts get the...... well...... you usually get what you pay for....

They can buy military gear for civilian policing like MRAPs and such,, put cameras on every corner to spy on us, as well as stop light and traffic cams, but can't afford cameras? You're kidding ....... right?

Not all depts have traffic cams, military gear and such. In LOTS of smaller towns there is very little budget for much of anything. In more cases than you'd think, even a uniform allowance for officers high enough to where they don't end up paying for stuff out of their own pockets. Just recently in my town they had to take donations just to get K-9 unit.

Most "small towns" have very little crime so little need for such things, but that is NOT the case in the inner-cities or large metro areas where most of the police corruption, bad arrests, and officer related deaths, crimes and abuses are occurring

If an area can afford traffic cams, drones, and street corner cameras, there is no reason they can't afford body cameras

Many who do have them, they always seem to "malfunction" when needed

But then that is not what the OP was about other than why the need for civilians to record their actions. Without those recording by peoples cell phones, many of the recent charges against these bad officers and the deaths they've caused would never have seen the light of day..... and NotsoSharpton and Jackasson might have to get real jobs!!

There might be less crime in small towns, but there is still crime. If there wasn't, there wouldn't be a need for cops in the first place. And don't believe there isn't corruption in those small towns either. If anything, it might be worse than big cities for the pure fact that they aren't getting watched over as closely.

Yeah, funny how there's always a 'malfunction' when there's something that might not show something that's not in their favor.....

I believe that people should make their dreams/visions a reality, but not if they're going to ask strangers to help them for free. That's just selfish. I would feel like a total ******* doing that. Plus, there are so many options for funding these days. I don't go out asking random people to improve my life. Nobody else should, either.

It's not really selfish just as long as the people helping are actually learning something. If they're learning, that's just as good as cash in the longrun, ain't it? It's like skipping the middleman (the schools). And if they aren't learning anything, it's not like they can't pick up and leave anytime they want. Then if it's in an ad, it's completely voluntary and the people know what they're signing up for. It's not like asking friends to do it and they do it because they feel that they need to.

ujGearhead School internships are good and different that unpaid work not related to school. I really don't understand your last statement. How does what I want make the rich get richer? I want people (most of whom are nowhere near well off) to get paid so they can actually afford the bare necessities.

I was referring to internships in general (and not necessarily connected to any school). Of course it's good to be able to afford to live, but if you want to get into a career and can't afford/or just want to skip school and get right to it, internships are a good way to go. Obviously, an uneducated noobie to the field isn't 'worth' what somebody who is experienced would get paid (and often not even worth a 'living wage'), but working for free gets them that experience to help them make decent money later. For my rich getting richer comment, you make it sound like people who can't afford to hire help shouldn't start a project. If they need help to the project to work, but are too poor to pay anybody, the project remains just dream and they stay poor. At the same time, the people who DO have the money can hire the help to get the projects done and in turn keep making more money.

I'm all for internships. In my field (automotive repair) I paid a boatload of cash and a few years to get a degree which means very little. Especially since experience is the best teacher and most shop owners know that the majority of schools will give you that paper just as long as you keep paying them. On top of that, I learned more in the first 6 months on the job (and got paid in the process) than I did the entire time I was in school. If I could go back and do it again, I'd gladly work in a shop for free gaining real-life experience rather than paying and getting less out of it educational-wise. So what if somebody is looking for interns? I only wish I had the opportunity to be one when I was starting out. If somebody can't afford to pay wages for help, but have a ton of experience in the field that they can teach, are the interns actually working for free? If somebody has a vision and a goal, why should lack of cash be the cause of it never coming to fruit? Especially when there are people who are more than happy to help. With your way of thinking, that only people with the money can make things happen, only the rich will get richer and the poor will stay poor.

I blame it on humanity tampering with natural selection. Gone are the days of lawn darts, kids riding bicycles without helmets, and 'good' fireworks. It's not that peop have gotten less intelligent, it's just that society has safetyized everything so that the stupid people have a harder time killing themselves off therefore decreasing the smart/window licker ratio.

GearHead!!! Long time no see!

offtopic I still own an original Lawn Jart set shades (however, that doesn't make me intelligent, just more safety conscious)laugh

Owning (and still living, unscathed) can to a point make one more safety conscious. However, ultimately the darts seek out the slowest and stupidest of the herd early on, therefore preventing them from reproducing and creating even more idiots.

VERY bad! There's way too many cops out there who think they're the lawmaker, judge, jury, and executioner. Since the courts typically 'side' with the cops in the first place (innocent till proven guilty my a$$), citizens need to be able to have their own proof of 'the truth'. Cops certainly tape incidents and use that in court (as long as it shows things in their favor), so why shouldn't we have the same courtesy?

Rubber chickens.

1. They don't make a mess.
2. They don't eat much.
3. You can let them free range and they wont wander off.
4. They always open the opportunity to make c*ck and pecker jokes.
5. They're stretchy.
6. They don't mind if you accidentally step on them.
7. They're good for swatting flies.
8. They're much more interesting than a pet rock.
9. They don't need much room.
10. They always seem interested in what you say to them.

Yeah, I know. We're only suppose to give 3 reasons, but with 10, they're clearly the most awesomest pet!

I'd buy my town, declare myself king, then build a race track and the most badassed garage you've ever seen.
