The Silent Tear

I lived my life thinking it would get better
Always giving up my place in line
Deep inside me I knew the truth
The only love felt was mine

I tried to trace the change
But the trail never ended
I saw it there, felt it here
So much of it just blended

I came upon myself it seems
Finally realizing the reality
Pulled the dagger from my chest
And changed my mentality

Lit up the sky with my smile
Started a whole new theme
Laughed at life and all it's sorrow
It's in color that I dream

Now I know the reason
Or at least I think I do
It's the glow on your face
Whenever I look at you

So this I say my friend
No longer do I fear
I embrace life and all it's fortune
And cry a silent tear

Enter at your own risk, is what it should read
After all, every heart will change
Keeping the promise, is what some do
Other's, well, they just rearrange

One heart fuses with another
What is mine is yours, and yours is mine
The same is said for our heart
It's said to be a sign

The way of love remains a mystery
For none of us will ever know
How we live, and what we do
This is the way our love will show

We come to expect a fairy tale
It's sad to say they don't come true
We try so hard for the happy ending
But it makes no difference what we do

True love is a ghost, so hard to see
If you found it, you are very blessed
Feel your hearts as they beat
Are they in rhythm, or are they stressed

I need to feel it to this day
A never ending start
A high that is never matched

My Time Has Come

Years and years of unrequited love
Days and nights of feeling alone
Older and wiser, yet still the same
I look around, nobody's home

Faster and faster I slow it down
No need or will, to get there now
It stops here and settles in
A single tear I will not allow

I tried real hard to understand
Even questioned my own heart
Not meant to be, or so they say
It was wrong, wrong from the start

I bellied up, swallowed my pride
Threw in the towel, finally gave in
Looked in the mirror, through the cracks
Forgave myself, and my sin

My life has changed, without request
I embrace the change, all but some
It's different now, that I know
Now I smile, my time has come

I've Touched The Sky

I've been to the mountains, and held your place
Looked to the sea, and saw your face
Flew over Valleys. and felt your grace

Came upon fire, and smothered the coals
Fought the fight, and realized my goals
Ran for miles, and took short strolls

Wished for more, and let some go
Lost my way, and my even flow
Stretched my skin, and began to grow

Now here I am, and I am that guy
I feel the breeze, and begin to fly
My heart is bold, and I've touched the sky

Peanut butter and jelly
Macaroni and cheese
The language you speak
The funny way you sneeze

The hope the love is real
The streamers around our heart
The candy cane we lick together
Tasting it from the start

Smiling is our expression
Laughter is our bond
Compassion we hold together
Kissing is how we respond

Fires we burn with each other
Looking to the stars
A calm passes over us
We are Venus and Mars

We've had enough sadness
In the years that have passed bye
It happened for a reason
No longer do we cry

We listen to our questions
Answer each other's calls

Inside my heart is where it starts

Outer layers let it through

My body is trembling with intensity

It’s like a volcano ready to spew



Feeling your touch on my skin

It’s like lighting passing thru my veins

Lust and desire control my thoughts

You kiss me and my body drains



It lasts for a moment I regain strength

I look in your eyes their full of surrender
