The Silent Tear

I lived my life thinking it would get better
Always giving up my place in line
Deep inside me I knew the truth
The only love felt was mine

I tried to trace the change
But the trail never ended
I saw it there, felt it here
So much of it just blended

I came upon myself it seems
Finally realizing the reality
Pulled the dagger from my chest
And changed my mentality

Lit up the sky with my smile
Started a whole new theme
Laughed at life and all it's sorrow
It's in color that I dream

Now I know the reason
Or at least I think I do
It's the glow on your face
Whenever I look at you

So this I say my friend
No longer do I fear
I embrace life and all it's fortune
And cry a silent tear
