Dee, that is so true. It is said, even in the Good Book, that we have to forgive ourselves before we forgive others. Just as we have to love ourselves if we expect others to love us. Very well written my dear.

What You Can't Do In Hell
What You Can't Do In Hell If you enjoy the life of sin Then you will head straight to hell, If this is the life you choose Have I got a lot to tell. There are some rules you must follow Because you know Satan rules, Hell is the one place he wants you That's why he offers his sinful tools. But there are some things that apply And things you will have to learn, So you better think twice Before you get where you will burn. Stop, drop and roll does not work Once you get to hell, That is one helluva fire, you can't put out Even with a pail. Oh and by the way, There's never a cold day there, So you better get to thinkin If you even have a care. And if you ask for ice water He'll just laugh in your face, If you're looking for paradise You've come to the wrong place. There's only one set of rules you need If you want to through the pearly gates, Don't think you have plenty of time to use them Because it may be too late. You never know when God is going to call on you And take you from this Earth, Because He has loved and cared for you Since the day of your birth. So take up the Good Book And make sure your name is in The Book of Life, Read a chapter a day and pray as a family With your children and your wife. Don't take life for granted And pray against all temptation, So that you can get to heaven In the pillowy Plantation. |

A Timeless Piece Of Evidence
No court room could ever use it Nor could they ever deny, It's a timeless piece of evidence That will never ever lie. It has withstood throughout the ages And has always stood strong, It has withstood many lies and distrusts And many rights and wrongs. It has played a part in court rooms With divorces and even death, And it has always managed to slip through With someone's dying breath. But this piece of evidence will always survive Through the hearts of many, Because if you have it within your heart Then your evidence will be a plenty. Have you figured out this evidence yet Sherlock? Or are you still left with a puzzling mind? Can you tell the jury what you found please, If you would be so kind. If you've discovered the one piece of evidence And realized you have enough, Then the evidence will point to the one thing And you will find that it's \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ LOVE |

Thank you all for your kind and pleasant comments. They were very well taken and appreciated.
Thanks Suze and Erica...sorry it is sad, but like everyone else has said, until my daughters realize what it's like to be in my shoes, they won't understand the hurt they have put me through. Thank you Pam and it is the hardest of all loves when your children hurt you. Thank you Angel for your sweet and informative comment. I, as well came from a broken family and it is hard. Thanks once again. Thank you ((L))...I figured you would like this one. It's the only way I know how to express my feelings is through my writing. Thank you Kristi...you know just as well because I know you've been there as well. Thanks for your kind advise too. Thanks sweetheart for your kind words as I know you have been there done that too. I love you and I know you will stand by me. Thank 1000...yes, it is a challenging job, being a parent. And the only pay you get is one of two ways, enjoyment or being fired. |

This is you might say, a second part to my Epithet Of A Father...
Don't Do This To Me Ever since the day you were born I have done everything I possibly can, To be the father and the dad And growing into a man. But don't feed me any of the guilt As if I just don't care, Don't hit me with any cheap shots Cause that wouldn't be fair. You know I would do anything I would go the distance for you, I have bent over backwards As I have muddled through. Don't do this to me By throwing me a curve, I don't need this done to me For I only have one nerve. You have always come first Because you mean the world to me, So don't go throwing me the guilt Until you learn to see. How life can treat you at times And sometimes give you a raw deal, Because I have done my best Please, know how I feel. Now to put in feminine form if you ladies feel like this can be for you as well...I adjusted the upper four lines. Ever since the day you were born I have done everything I possibly can, To be the mother and the mom And always taking a stand. |

An Epithet Of A Father

An Epithet Of A Father I may not have been Father of the Year But I never lived in fear As I tried to teach you, right from wrong, I may not have been a Super Hero I never let my fear show I always tried to remain strong. I tried to do the best in raising you I did everything I could do But it never seemed enough, With out lives tossed in a mess As we lived in distress I gave you all my love. So with my passing I will say I will carry your love my way I have given everything I had, Know that I have always cared With my heart I have bared The joys and love of being your Dad. |

Through The Tunnel Of Darkness I'm walking this railroad track Destined to go two ways, Eastward through a tunnel of darkness Westward for many days. It looks like a long journey If I take the rail west, So I'll trod on forward And hope for the best. I take the steps slowly As I approach the tunnel with fear, That darkness looks spooky The more that I get near. What will I experience When I finally go in? Will I see the light When I get to the end? When we overcome our fear By going through our darkest times, We never travel alone For God even helps the blind. When we get near the end And we do see the light, We get a sigh of relief When we see this glorious sight. When you feel fear coming on When you are in your darkest hour, Remember what prayer can do When God has all the power. He will help you through your troubles And give you a sigh of relief, By keeping your faith strong And pray with your belief. |

Lumpy The Pumpkin
Lumpy The Pumpkin He grew amongst the others But he was more unusual they say, His name is Lumpy the pumpkin Soon it would come the day. When farmer O'Dell would go pick The pumpkins in the patch, Lumpy felt so out of place He didn't even match. He didn't look like the others Who were perfectly smooth and round, He was afraid farmer O'Dell Would just leave him laying around. When he saw farmer O'Dell Come looking where he lay, He leaned back to cover his lumps In a sneaky kind of way. He was picked off the ground And put with the others on the truck, All all the other pumpkins cheered him on And wished him the best of luck. For he was going to market To be sold for Halloween, He was going to be the proudest pumpkin Anyone's ever seen. All the other pumpkins were picked over As they were bought and sold, Soon the evening sun will set And in will come the cold. Only a few more pumpkins left to choose With Lumpy being one, Then a smiling little face came along "That one looks like fun." Lumpy was picked up by farmer O'Dell And put in the young child's lap, "He looks like a misfit like me," As the little boy fixed his cap. As his mother pushed his wheelchair SHe noticed his big smile, Little did they know about Lumpy For he was just a little guile. Yes, Lumpy may have been a misfit And felt he didn't belong, But when this little tyke came by Boy, was he wrong. Even misfits have a place in this world In a place of misdirection, People just have to reminded They too can pass for perfection. |
