Already in the works Kristi...just waiting on confirmation from St Jude's about me sending my children's stories to them and let the children do the illustrations for me. I look forward to the response from them.

Twinkie The Ghost

Twinkie the ghost
Is a cute little thing,
He likes to float
And he likes to sing.
He sings a song
On Halloween night,
A melancholy tune
Not sung with fright.
If you go haunting
On All Hallow's Eve,
A sound so sweet
It will deceive.
Is this Halloween?
A night of ghosts?
It's the pleasant voice
Of Twinkie the ghost.

Zombies Of The Graveyard

In the early hours of dusk
When the sun begins to set,
There's something you need to know
That you'll soon fret.

The souls of darkness will rise
Then they begin to walk,
Walking aimlessly without direction
They don't even talk.

These are zombies of the graveyard
Souls that never came to rest,
Walking the night for existence
Feeding upon some flesh.

The legend had been told of these
You can't kill something already dead,
The only way to stop these creatures
Is to cut off their head.

They love to come out on Halloween
With little kids on which to feed,
In order to survive their nightly walk
Human flesh is what they need.

If you survive the night safely
And you didn't let down your guard,
Be glad the sun is coming up
As they return to the graveyard.

Pumpkins On Elm Street

On this eerie Halloween night
As the wind blows through the trees,
The children go trick or treating
As they scurry among the leaves.
The pumpkins on Elm Street are lit
With carved faces all a glow,
Some are scary and some are cute
But there's something you should know.

When the candy is all given out
And the children are in bed,
Elm Street becomes eerily silent
Something you should dread.
The pumpkins come to life
As they dance with goblns and ghosts,
Screeching and moaning through the night
As Spooky the cat, jumps off her post.

Skeletons come out of nowhere
Clacking along down Elm Street,
Bats fly out of the trees
As the pumpkins come to meet.
The skeletons grab a pumpkin
Putting it over their head,
As the street comes to life
With the souls of the dead.

Doing the Monster Mash on your lawn
As All Hallow's Eve winds down,
Their party will soon be over
As they depart your small town.
The clock in the town square
Strikes midnights eerie crest,
As all forms of creatures scurry
Leaving the street a mess.

When the sun breaks the horizon
And you go out for your morning paper,
You look in awe at the mess
From the ghostly creatures caper.
Don't blame it on the children
Though they can be little demons,
But it's the Festival Of Ghouls on Halloween
That happens when you're dreamin.

Reflection Upon The Water

I love the reflection in the water
But I don't like what I see,
The beauty that reflects
That surrounds the vision of me.
The soft billowy clouds drifting
Upon the light blue sky,
With the suns golden beam
As the glint catches my eye.

It's the vision upon the water
That's taking me in awe,
The beauty that surrounds me
As I see all the faux.
It's like looking in a mirror
But the water shows the pain,
As the clouds up above me
Gather in darness to rain.

As the pellets come down
The vision gets distorted,
Nothing that I saw
Would be as I reported.
The rippling effect dissimulated
The history I had seen,
As I stand to take in the air
The rain washes my spirit clean.
