The best beach scene of any war movie I've seen. I loved that movie. Watched it time and time again.

I agree...but nothing compares to the older ones that you could watch with the lights out and every little creek you hear in the house made you jump out of your skin. And it always happens about the time something good in the movie comes up.

I've learned long ago, that life and families aren't like the ones on tv. I was always wanting to be the family like the Brady Bunch or The Waltons. But nobody called me in for the script to be read that day. So reality bites and is never easy. We just have to live it and take it one day at a time with the ones that dearly love us.

Tanya, there is not one thing wrong with you sweetie. You are a beautiful woman and a loving soul. We all want the fantasy and fairy tale. One day your prints will come. Wait a minute, that's for a photo store. Your prince will come my dear and on that white stallion you both shall ride off into the sunset. Patience my dear.

You've heard the great saying
Remember the Alamo,
You've even heard tell
Of Geronimo.
But, you are one to be remembered
A hero in someone's mind,
You've done something special
Why, you're one of a kind.

Pearl Harbor was a day
That will go down in infamy,
The Boston Pops Orchaestra
Play a great tippany.
But, you are one to be remembered
Leaving all else aside,
You've done something special
In someones heart, you abide.

Someone I talked too, gave me an idea for this song I wrote. I hope someone out there can get in touch with me and see what they can do with it.

Don't cheat your heart, out of love

My oldest daughter is the You in this poem and I commend her for the good heart she has in what she did.

A Commendable Soul

She was in distress
Not knowing what to do,
An abortion came to mind
But then, she called you.
She needed a friend
At the clinic that day,
To hold her hand
Cause she was afraid.

You talked her out of it
Though she was distraught,
When ya'll heard the heartbeat
Of that tiny little tot.
She would look at you and ask
"Would you be the mother?",
Your eyes just lit up
As you accepted her utter.

You signed the papers
Knowing you saved a life,
Now you're going to be a mother
And also a wife.
You're happy and ecstatic
Your life is now non-stop,
Oh geeze, now that I look at it
I'm going to be a Gran Pop.

To you, that have been so loving
And you, that have been so kind,
I want to say thank you
For being a friend of mine.
Your kind gentle comments
Are the rewards I reap,
For I will treasure your friendship
