As the waves come in, embrace each one before they recede so far out, you won't get them back. Beautiful write my dear.

The Shattered Mirror
|
|
Note: Before any of you worry, this did not happen to me. This is just something that came to my mind like most everything else I have written.
The Shattered Mirror I wake out of my bed Stumble to the bathroom I see, Your reflection, so beautiful Staring back at me. Am I still in a dream Wishing to be with you, Or am I so in love It's all I can do. I pull back and draw a fist Into the mirror I hit, Your reflection disappeared As I felt my skin split. The mirror shattered Falling into the sink, Pieces of my heart fell As I heard the pieces clink. When reality bites you You begin to reflect, The long distance love You knew to expect. The pieces in the sink Stare back up at me, With you still smilin At what could be. As I felt the pain Of the cuts on my hand, Why does it have to be The distance across the land? With the blood pouring out I feel my heart, bleed as well A bandage won't heal the pain But it helps to yell. My hand will heal in time Leaving behind a few scars, Unlike the wound in my heart A prisoner behind bars. No escaping, from the pain That I feel deep within, Why can't love come easy So my life can begin? |

A Childs Bucket List
|
|
A Childs Bucket List When we get older and up in years We think of our bucket list, What we would like to accomplish Before we feel God's kiss. But do we ever think of our children And the things they'd like to do, When they become ill, so young at heart The things they'd like to ensue? Why, when they are so young Does the angel of death come knockin' That they come down with an illness When they should be rollin and rockin. None of us know how long we have Before we feel God's kiss, So whether you're a child or adult Go ahead and make your list. |

Dee, Kim and Susan..I'm glad ya'll liked it. Thanks for your comments.
And Pam, the butterflies aren't mine, although it would be nice to feel that flutter. These words are just something I threw together. Nothing that has happened to me or the sort like that. |

Pammie my dear, that couldn't be any more true than how you put it. Put things in God's hands and let Him do the rest.

Tooooooo Earlyyyyyyyyyyyyy! ![]() Not really...before you know it...Halloween is upon us, then Thanksgiving...then bamm...what do I do for Christmas? I should have started early. It just freaks me out when the stores start putting out Christmas stuff in August. Too much commercialized competition. I hate it too...Christmas isn't what it used to be and isn't celebrated for the right reasons. But it does get here rather quickly. |
