some others that I can think of is the persecution of the christians by the romans and hitler. there have been pagans that have started wars. the problem is people being closed minded....past, present and future that can't or won't accept others rights to their beliefs and fear of differences

I agree. We should not blame each other for the misdeeds of our ancestors. I am talking about history, not belief in the tale of a man who some claimed to be god. If Jesus was crucified, which I don't believe happened, I could say the same thing. I did not agree for him to die for my sins or the sins of mankind in some sort of ritual sacrifice to some evil alien god.

and that's why I'm glad to live in america...we have the right to believe as we wish. i will never tell someone they are wrong for their beliefs unless it hurts someone or is illegal. only because illegal is having proof it's wrong because there are laws

well we are all here for a reason and we have are part to contribute to the world. He gave us free will so if you choice not to believe that so be it. I would like to change your mind but I am not going to force you to believe. If you don't then all I can tel god is I tried my best and that is what he is looking for. You don't have to go to church to believe and you don't have to read the bible but it would be nice it will and can help you come closer to god but he isn't not going to not let you into the kingdom of heaven cuz you didn't go. As long as you knowledge him and pray fro your self for your sins and pray for other. You have a great chance of going. But I am not the ring leader its all up to the big guy upstairs. So if you like to try to read the bible and to let you know the bible is a book. Its just a basic instruction before leaving earth. As you can see the first letter in each work. It spells bible that is what it means. So I hope I show you a little bit to help you. So yea hope its enough to help you

well it's simply logic "yellowrose" if they are your beliefs then keep them to yourself ..keep them as your own personal beliefs and don't share them with anyone and just let them float around forever in your head .."BUT" if you choose to share those beliefs with others then you at that point in time are forcing your beliefs upon others I don't understand why you can't grasp that simple concept ..and if that is not bad enough to claim your belief is truth and then talk about you don't need to provide any proof is the ultimate in "Mule Headedness"

so if doesn't make a difference as to have many deluded friends you may have in other deluded religions and all of you deludedly sit around singing "We are the World" if you don't want anyone to comment on your belief then don't mention them to anyone especially in a public forum.. and when someone decide to use their common sense and ask you for proof then try not to get all huffy and call it an argument ...just say you have none

1st...this is a debate and everyone is entitled to speak their beliefs...

2nd...not sure how well your reading skills are but I have never pushed them on anyone

3rd....having an opinion is different than judging others

4th...you have never asked me for proof because i would tell you I don't have any because it's what i feel.

you are the one that judges and pushes your opinions on others and side steps what people are saying. You just like to argue and you put words in peoples mouths that they didn't say

disagreeing is different than judgement. Most people know that I like others view points and have NO problem with them. It's when they think their views are the only ones and tell someone they are wrong for their beliefs.
