I'd never go on a wine date. I don't like wine that much and don't see the point of getting intoxicated on a date. I also wouldn't go on a date to forget an ex. It won't work and it's using an innocent person. I'd rather take my time to heal first and then go on a date :)

The coffee meet and greet before any real date works perfectly for me. The one time I asked for a wine and dine date , She said wine effects her legs...I said how so... She said ... they spread ..Naturally I refrained from making any suggestive comments..
