Hi guys. I'm been doing online dating (and chat apps) since Aug 2022.

I'm a little down because I have met hundreds of women online but have never met one in person yet.

So I was wondering if we could all get together as a think-tank and come up with reasons (both good and bad) for having a G/F.

It could help cheer me up or make me sad.

Pro; You have someone to walk home with from the pub.

Con; You always have to buy at least two pints. And two orders of fish and chips.

Is it wrong to think that if you get the right kind of girl that you won't always have to be paying for everything?

I have had rich girl friends and poor girl friends. And one thing they all had in common was being very slow to reach for their pocket book.

I have had all kinds of women .... but somehow it never worked out ... I find North American women to selfish and too independent ... and they are not afraid to say they don't need a man ( yesh! There are a few exceptions) European women are beautiful and kind and know how to treat a man ... but by far the Scottish women are the best ... especially the ones with red hair and green eyes ( my fantasy)
But they all have one thing in common ... after awhile they want you to change .. and if you don't ... well .... there is the road ....

Cons:
There shouldn't be any.
A partner should add to your life.
If there are cons then it's likely a reflection of how and who you are as partners mirror.
For instance, if you're not truly happy & positive, don't have proper self-esteem & self-confidence & self-love you cannot attract quality partners either.
In that sense dating / trying to date is like free therapy: it shows (reflects) directly what you still have to work on. If you want that of course, it's a choice.

Pros:
Do we really have to list those?
Someone to share your life with, to talk, have fun, have new adventures and discoveries, grow & evolve together, support each other, intimacy.
Cooking, dining, spending evenings together.
Also having time to yourself so you can do your own thing or hang out with your own friends.
Very important to not give up everything and make the relationship your universe.
In essence someone who complements you.

Ohhhh man Slim. I went out with a red haired green eyed girl once. Forty years and I still can't get those eyes out of my head. What a lady.

A relationship on any level is give and take and you hope for a balance. Having a job is a relationship with your employer, you make them money and in return they pay you money. Are there pros and cons of any job? Yes, there are always are, but it's up to the employee to decide if it is worth it or not as well as the employer. Friendship is also a relationship, if you are always there for a friend, but they are not there when you need them it probably isn't going to work out unless you get something out of being used. So in a relationship with somebody of the opposite sex you also need to look at what you get and give. People have different needs, sometimes it's sex, or money, or security. Other times it may just be companionship or having a good time together. But realistically it probably will never balance out perfectly even, sometimes people need to make some sacrifices in order to get what they need. That's pros and cons, we will never live in a perfect world so we have to accept certain facts. Also as brought up earlier you can not change somebody unless that person wants to change. That is often a big mistake people make is they think they can change somebody to be the way they want.

They expect you to talk to them.

Especially when the big game is on the telly.

And then get upset when you ask them to get you a beer , when it's third down and inches inside the 20 .....!!!

Oh you guys!
And then you wonder why you're still sat alone on your settees, watching a game as opposed to having a good time with a great woman by your side!

Oh just go to the kitchen, make me a sandwich and bring me a beer, woman. jk

when you meet a lady that loves you..you will eventually know that women spend there own moneyb

Is getting deactivated the same as never reaching into that pocket to pay for anything !!! Women ????

Have you spent any time in SouthEast Asia and the women in some of those countries (Thailand, Phillipines, etc)? Highly recommended!
