You have had a meet and greet and it seemed to go well. Then they fail to turn up on that all important first date, you waited longer than you should because you were unable to contact them, and they failed to contact you. Then a day or so later they contact you with excuses and apologies. Do you arrange another date or end it there and then.

She didn't call or text to say she is unable to make the date? Then she waits another "day or so" later to contact you? Not a chance in hell I'd attempt another date with someone that disrespectful but that's just me.

She wants a date. No problems. Her place, Saturday night. Ten PM!

Humm if they don't have enough respect to answer my call or text to why they did not show up.. Heck noooooooo..there would not be a second chance.. Unless it was one hell of a reason why they could not respond.. whoa slaphead

Sure, I would forgive them, as long as it was a
stellar excuse, like they were dead.

Yes, I would give them another chance but warn them only once that if it happens again then they need never look back again.

Really depends on the excuse. Sometimes I give them the benefit of the doubt when their excuse is plausible. Then on the first date I tell them that I will never lie to them, and I expect the same of them. If they are uncomfortable with that statement, then that is the last date.

I also try to do a background check on them prior to the first date. Sometimes that they do the same to me. My wife died last year, and her name is still on the title to my house. I also took over her phone (it was new). When they ask question about her name, I just show them a picture of her grave stone.

I once had an ex-gf who used to trash me to girls I was starting to date. Eventually I had to move to another city 50 miles away.

I always give them a chance to explain what I find. If they can't, then it is over.

That would be the end of it for me, how long does it take to call or send a text. Maybe it was cold feet, playing games or they just forgot our date, it would no longer work for me, better to finish and avoid any further disappointment. Thanks everyone for your replies.

Must admit I don't know as I never had that happen.
It would depend on the reason of them not showing up. I would like to know why they didn't.

Also depends on how the meet & greet went how I'd feel AND on their behaviour when they contact me after the no-show.
If that is matter of fact and "I don't really care" or more like "OMG I hope I didn't ruin it!!"
