Thanks, River! I'm not looking forward to the long journey home, but I'm so excited to get there! My girls are going to be super busy working, though. It's a busy time of year at their jobs. Two of the three even have to work on Christmas Day!

Baking is so much fun! Before I started living internationally, I always made holiday goodies to give out to friends and neighbors. Who doesn't love receiving home-made treats? It's a big part of the magic, in my opinion. What kinds of things are you planning on making?

I picked out 7 different kinds of cookies. Sugar cut out cookies, peanut butter blossoms, eggnog frosted snickerdoodles, shortbread twix cookies, candy cane cookies, white chocolate ginger cookies, and chocolate crinkles. I was thinking about making banana bread and cranberry bread as well, but I'll probably have my hands full with all the cookies I'm making, lol.


OT... Thinking I better get to the store so I don't have to go tomorrow. It's turning cold and is supposed to snow. Hopefully it does!

Thinking it was nice to see my former boss/friend today. She wants to hire me for her store, a different one than I worked at before, and she will give me the hours and days that I want. If I say yes, she'll hold the position for me until after the first of the year since that's when I want to start working again.

Also thinking I will still talk with the owner of the store I worked at before to see what they have to offer. Although, the new store seems better as far as benefits, even for part timers. Plus I like the new store better, much better and healthier food selections, plus it has a Dunkin Donuts and a Subway in the store. A nice morning espresso to start the day... Oh yeah!
