I auto-delete M2 messages without reading them.
Since I am on here nearly everyday, when I get a message, I use the site to delete them and most of those I delete without reading them.
I don't need or want this feature.

I really dont like this kindaaa messages . I like messages that is coming from within theeee Heart . Thats is a Art of Chatting.

NO I don't wanna receive such messages.

I never liked the auto messages, and they usually indicate a scammer. Actually, removing them may put a slight halt to the bots that are very common that use them. There are a few features up there that I'd like changed, but that one is very high on the list.

I can't remember ever getting one but its a no vote from me.

I hate getting automated messages from those that I would never choose to interact with.

That's a nah for me. I want real messages from someone who is genuinely interested, not random messages.

I don't respond to those messages anymore. initially I did & usually they don't reply, I know why now! It's misleading, pls don't do it already.

Not sure if they will consider doing away with the Automatic Messages, but maybe the more that will comment how they feel about them, it may get them to reconsider.

As far as my opinion all the Automatic messages does is help out the scammers/fake profiles by leading more to their profiles where many have put their contact info on their profiles. Then when contacted they try to get them off site only..

Plus it makes one think that someone may be interested in them, but in reality they never even sent the message and had no idea the messages were going out from them..

Like many said they assumed right off the bat it was a scammer that sent the message instead of the site doing it in order to get more to interact with each other. Due to thinking that they report them and block them.. When actually that person had no clue the message went out from them..

Also just a heads up I did add a few more that I found to my list in my first post...

I do NOT like auto messages, there is one that came yesterday and is still there, I can't delete it but only click on it to see m2 subscription. These messages clutter up messages and stay at the top.
again I HATE them!

Don't take it personal, I am sure, you put some consideration into this idea. But ... the ones, who oppose these automated messages are all regular posters in the forums. And we interact quite well, I think

Nothing personal at all.. I had in fact brought this to Keith's (Upper Admins) attention. Because of the complaints in Help we constantly get about these type of messages..

Most think it is a scammer thing.

Keith actually asked if I would post in the forums to get the regular members opinion on this Topic..

In order to have something to back up our concerns.

Even tho only a small amount of Mingle2 members post in the forums, they normally are the ones that have been on the site the longest..

Wow!! It seems I have totally been out voted in regard to this topic/survey ...
The only reason why I do not oppose this kinda messaging , is simple ...
When I joined this site , I was a rookie in the world of online dating .. I was getting zero response from all the women I messaged .... and then out of the blue, I got what I thought was a message from a scammer .... turned out to be someone I could talk to ....a real nice woman with a decent profile , we chatted and Off course , I knew it was a long shot , and going nowhere . But it made me more confident, lost all my shyness and generally started being myself .... and soon after I was really enjoying my time on the site ... later on , I got a few more of these messages , but by then I was already able to spot scammers ... so I ignored them .... just like I still do today .... they mean nothing and it really doesn't bother me ..
Bottom line .... ya or No doesn't make a difference to me

Can you say "class action lawsuit" for wasting my time and data? Was that the answer to this issue they were looking for?

If anyone else wants to post about this please do I will be
