Topic: AUTOMATIC MESSAGES Sent Ya or No??? | |
---|---|
I think it's plainly obvious these are messages from the site, no one actually asks these type of questions. It is a way of getting people to interact with each other, so it's not actually a bad idea. where it fails is that all I've encountered so far here, is fakes and scammers wanting email or WhatsApp info. If the owners got rid of these, although it most likely would remove a sizeable proportion of members, automated messages are actually a good idea to open a conversation between 2 people

I don't recall receiving any of these messages, but if I do receive them, they may draw my attention to read someone's profile but it would not in itself cause me to contact them, so receiving these messages or not receiving them makes little difference to me. I like to make email contact with other members myself, and in my own words. I think the existing scheme of sending random messages within emails purporting to be from a member, if I have understood it correctly, should in my opinion be scrapped. |

Terrible idea, like many I thought these were scammers. Should have been made aware of this right away rather than finding out later. Who is it that needs @$$ kicking for this BS idea ?
An now that I think about it , most seem to turn out to be scammers so you are just helping them make a contact. If someone got used in any way because of this someone should be held responsible ! |

That is not productive. Get rid of them.

I don't like them. I perceive it as being another scammer.

Not really fond of this procedure. To me, it leads me to believe there is interest when there is none.
I prefer to make my own contacts. I'm not objective to having someone contact me first at all. It makes me wonder though. I've had the "Hi" messages show up before, and when I respond, the person asks me why I was contacting them. I didn't.... they sent the first "Hi" message to me. |

Don't like it, It's stupid, If someone contacted me after such an automatic message was sent to them, I wouldn't understand what the heck the person was talking about in the response.

Extremely tired of hitting "Match" or "Maybe" and getting the automatic response from the site "Congratulations, you two matched" etc etc etc...and then the bot-like "Hi,I'm so and so,I'd like to het to know you" and then if you say Hello, you either get NO response or the bot-like response of" do you have an e-mail address, messenger,or whatsApp so that we can chat and get to know each other better"...I'm curious, wouldn't it be better to just let people decide for themselves if they WANT to chat, whether or NOT they've hit "Match or Maybe"? I apologize if this isn't the right Forum for this topic ,it seemed to fit my question,however...Thanks

Thanks for warning me about these messages. I've been a member for quite a long time but have never received one, nor have I received a 'reply' from someone who thinks I have sent them a message when I didn't. It would cause confusion. As others have said, I like to make up my own mind as to who I contact and what I say to them.
