Topic: AUTOMATIC MESSAGES Sent Ya or No??? | |
---|---|
Please help us by responding, this is a Survey for Mingle2.
Not sure if all members know this or not but the site sends out Automatic Messages within emails in order to get others to interact.. These messages are Random and may or may not be sent to someone that you normally would contact.. The reason for this thread is because we have had some members that do not like the automatic messages that are being sent out. Therefore I have been asked by Upper Admin to get opinions of members to see if this is something they should consider eliminating or keeping them. Here is a list of some of the messages I'm sure that some have gotten but did not know they are sent by the site and not the members.. ______________________________________________________________________ Tom is just online nearby. Say hello now! Nice to meet you Tom! Hey Tom what's up? Are you an early morning person or a late night person? What's your all-time favorite food? Are you more reserved or a "live in a moment" kind of a person? If you could have one super power for a day, what would it be? Hi Tom! Dogs or cats? Hi TxsGal3333! What's your favorite show right now? _______________________________________________________________________ Please keep all responses civil and keep the chit chat for other threads.. We ask that members give us their opinion about the automatic messages only. Your welcome to post more then once if you have more to add to your suggestion.. This thread is about Automatic Messages only, no other suggestions about other features at this time..Please stick to the Topic! All post that is not about this Topic will be deleted.. Once we have enough members comment Admin will review. Thanks for any help with this. Forum Admin Kristi Please do not Quote in order to make it easier read through responses! |

It's ok. because it's a first message during interaction..
From me it's fine as when two gets matches or nudging accepted.. |

Such automatic messages feed the claim that some Mingle2 users are actually bots created by Mingle 2.
So, the automatic messages are a bad idea. |

I usually delete them and block the sender. I only interact with people I know from the forums.
I can do without them |

No thanks.

I don't like them. They seem pointless.

Haven't gotten any. But if I did I'd no doubt figure scammer/spammer and delete.

If they help to increase my circle of friends ... I welcome it ...

Now I'm wondering if that's what those "are you a dog person or cat person?" are. I don't know if i was civil so if i wasn't.

Nice to meet you Tom!
I Get This a Lot...Seems Obvious This is a Scam Bcuz They Always Used the SAME Icons... |

It is a no from me. For years I thought those messages were from scammers and instantly deleted them.
I think if the automated messages are continued to be sent, the message should say that it is an automated message to avoid confusion. |

Hi TxGal!
I don't enjoy them. I would never reply to one. |
I delete them immediately. I think they'll always be viewed as spam.
I do not like them.

I use an email that I only access via web browser so I won't get any email notifications from this app
I almost left this site over them, I thought they were fakes, and in a sense they are.

I’d love to not have them in my inbox. To think someone gets a message from
me that I didn’t send seems really sketch. |

I am in agreement with most of the others. I do not like them.

I just roll my eyes , then delete automatic messages . Would opt out from receiving if that was an option.

Up until now, I always took the automated messages
as "scripted" copy and paste... And, delete them all. |
