Saying Good Morning on Sunday is so Nice Bcoz Everyone's at Home and Preparing for the Lazy Monday ! |

Dee I hope the physical therapy helps, that's a long time to be in pain. Life is good here. I'm pretty much settled in, just need to organize a little better. Especially if I end up getting a roommate. I just got my refrigerator today. I don't really need one, but it will be nice to keep my drinks cold and when I have left over fruit, or want to have something other than what they serve in the dining room. I have off tomorrow and Friday. Tomorrow I get my second covid vaccine. I'm hoping I don't have too many side effects. If not, then I want to ride to Yellowstone on Friday, provided it's not raining. Otherwise I wait until next week, the weather is supposed to be nicer. We had a thunderstorm this afternoon and it's supposed to rain tomorrow and possibly on Friday. The temperature has been in the high 60's, but will go down to the lower 50's for the next couple days. Yesterday I went to the lake and waded in the water. It's freezing And very rocky so next time I'll take my water shoes. Tomorrow, on the way to get my vaccine, I'm going to ride by Jenny Lake, one of the other properties, to see if the horses have arrived. Here at Colter Bay Village things start opening up for the public on Monday, so it will get even busier than it's been. It's already super busy so I can only imagine what it's going to be like. Not much excitement as far as adventures, but once I get the covid thing out of the way, and they have the horses and kayaks out, I'll be doing more. I haven't ventured any of the trails yet, I'm too chicken because of the bears. But I did walk to dinner the other day, so I'll get out there on the trails eventually. Once there are more people, the bears will stay clear of the noisy areas... I hope, haha, so hiking will be a little less scary. Thanks River, I hope the PT helps me feel better soon too. So far, it seems to be. I’m thinking it’s a problem with my cervical discs. More pain and pressure at the base of my scull and neck. It’s really been unbearable these past few weeks! Hope the horses get there soon, so you can enjoy a nice ride Take care and beware of the bears! |

Sorry to hear that Dee Hopefully the PT will continue to help and resolve the problem for you. Speaking of bears 399 and her four cubs were across the street from the store today. First time I got to see them. I didn't get a decent picture because I left my camera home. And by time I got my phone there was already a ton of people blocking the view with cars and RVs. The cubs were adorable. It was quite an exciting morning. Needless to say, it was a very exciting morning here. |

Hope you have a great weekend Do you get Monday off? I’m hoping you can have some time to yourself to have some fun! My brother is having a cookout Sunday, so it’ll be nice to see some of the family that we haven’t seen for a while..... and the weather here is cooler but no rain thank goodness! Take care and enjoy the weekend! |

Dee, thanks I hope you have an awesome weekend with your family
I'll be working on Monday, it's not one of my regular days off so no chance in getting it off. I took today off due to losing the battle in trying to fight catching a cold Most likely a side effect from the second covid vaccine. That and getting all stressed about getting a roommate and four days of cold, damp, rainy weather... lots of fun, lol. I'm feeling better today, yesterday was the worst of it. I did get a chance to go to Yellowstone on Thursday. I wasn't feeling all that great but decided to go anyways, I needed a day away. Had a really nice time and got some wonderful pictures, I'll post them later after I upload a few on my FB page. I got to Old Faithful just in time for the eruption. Thank goodness for the incredible zoom on my camera, I was a bit away when it started. I survived my first week with a roommate. She pretty much keeps to herself, which is a good thing, lol. We get along fairly well and it's kind of nice to have someone around, even if we don't really talk that much. This coming up week is supposed to be nice and warm, thankfully! And thankfully I'm feeling better, so I'll get a chance to go for a few nice walks. Have a safe and wonderful holiday weekend. |

Good you got out in spite of feeling under the weather. I hope you are going to post photos!
Glad the roommate is okayish. Whether it's nice or not, at least the stress of that going to happen has gone. As for the cold... Tap the middle of your breastbone, so in the middle of the chest. This is NOT in between your breasts, a wee bit higher. It's right on the thymus gland which plays an important role in our immune system, if you 'wake' it up by tapping it regularly. Normally is goes to sleep in adults, can even shrink. But you can awaken it by tapping it as that will get blood flow going to it again. It's how I get through colds, covid etc. Also tap your sides next to your breasts where your bra would be. If it's sore it needs it! Tap it! It's spleen points and this will help get any toxins out of the body, whether viral/bacterial, food, negative thoughts etc. It really does help. Do it every day at least, several times a day if you can. |

Thanks for the reminder, Crystal. I remember you saying that in other posts, but always forget about it when it would benefit me, haha. The spleen points are a tad sore, so I will tap on them a few times a day for sure.
I'll post some pictures in the next day or two. :) And yes, it's nice to be over the stress I had before getting the roommate. I'm sure that didn't help my immune system much. |

Hi Dee... That's a shame about your water bed, and your shoulder and neck. I hope the PT helped.
Having a roommate has disrupted my normal routine, I miss my early mornings on Mingle. But, it does get me out of the room and out in nature. I leave a half hour early every morning to go sit by the lake as the sun comes up. No big adventures since Yellowstone. I did drive up to the top of one of the mountains yesterday... Signal Mountain Summit. It overlooked the entire valley in the surrounding area... absolutely breathe taking. I'm walking more around the property, hopefully I'll shed my winter coat soon I seem to have put on a few pounds since I left New Hampshire. The horses are here, I visited them yesterday. A couple of them came to me, they sure do love attention. I can't wait til next week when trail riding begins. I planned on going kayaking yesterday or today, but the weather isn't cooperating. It's been windy and very chilly Goes back up to 80 tomorrow. Have a great weekend, Dee |

Things are going better for me now, we got a new comfy bed so hopefully my neck and shoulder pain will start getting better....PT hasn’t been helping much. I have a Dr. appointment Tuesday so I’ll find out about more options then. I’ve been wondering about how it’s going with your new roommate. It’s not easy sharing your space with someone you’re not familiar with.
I bet that is a gorgeous view of the sunrise by the lake! . I’m glad the horses are there now, I wish I could join you for a ride! I hope you have enjoyed your weekend and keep in touch when you get a chance! |

Hi Riverspirit1111,
Hope you are safe and healthy. I would like to tell you that traveling enriches our mind, soul, and heart. We received magnificent gifts in our life. By traveling, we can open a window all over the world and we can be able to experience, to see, feel, to cognize so many magnificent new things which are connected with different aspects of science, human life, and a human mind, nature and all the beauty of the world. If only I can I would love to travel. It is the dream of my life. I wish you, that all beautiful memories from your journeys will remain in your heart forever. |

I'm sorry to hear that PT hasn't been helping much. I hope the bed is working out for you. It definitely makes a difference for a lot of people. My mattress here is an extra firm one. I suffered the first two nights because of it. But I put my comforter under the sheets and it's helping a lot more. Unfortunately the activities here, including horseback riding won't be available to employees that often, if at all. They are booked for the next two months. The amount of people here is unbelievable. No, it's not easy sharing my room with someone. It's actually starting to weigh heavy on me and my mood has been changing. Fortunately, I have very influential angels watching over me, haha. The housing manager came to me today and asked how I was doing? I was honest with him about struggling. He said he has been holding a room for me on the other property just in case this didn't work out for me. So I will get to move back to the other property and have my own room. He knows a little about my history, and commended me for at least trying. I feel really blessed that management here is so supportive and cares about what I need in order to be more successful. WooHoo!!! It means I have to commute to work, five miles each way. But that's okay. I'll have my own room, with my own bathroom! I'll still get to see the sunrises on the lake, I'll just have to leave a little earlier. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, Dee |

I’m so glad that you get to have your own space all to yourself. That must be why you were doing the happy dance! and you’ll still have your view of the Lake, sounds like a beautiful place Too bad you can’t ride the horses, but for the next two months you’ll be keeping busy with work. I’m still going to PT so I hope I’ll start feeling better soon! I hope you have a good week! |

Hi Dee and Nicole
I hope both of you had a wonderful weekend. @ Dee, I remember when I first started going to the chiropractor. It got worse before it got better. So hopefully it will be the same for you and you'll see light at the end of the tunnel and feel better soon. I love my room. It faces the hill full of sage and wildflowers with the woods not far away. I have a view of the Teton Mountains from my window, and a little garden of wildflowers right outside my window. There are lots of prairie dogs running around, they're so cute There's even a picnic table for me to sit and relax, and a chair outside my door. Inside, I have plenty of shelf space, a big desk in front of the window, a big wardrobe, and a comfy mattress a linen closet in the bathroom and space under the bathroom sink, and a built in shower caddy in the shower. Oh, and a ceiling fan. I'm in heaven! The only downside is that it's facing west so I get the afternoon sun. It gets really hot in the room. Thankfully there's a tree outside my room so that helps a little. I'll be getting a fan for the window soon, and it will only be really warm for a couple more months, so I'll survive. On the plus side, it will keep me from staying cooped up in my room. The immediate neighbors/neighborhood is very quiet. Most of the rowdy ones live a few dorms away and the other dorms help block the noise. Oh, and I get to see the horses everyday to and from dinner. The coral is out in the open on one of the main resort roads. At the other place I had to go a quarter of a mile out of the way to see them. So even if I can't ride them yet, I can still stop by and pet them. |

Hey River! Seems like the week has flown by so fast , tomorrow is Friday already! I’m starting to feel a little better at least for now So cool that you get to watch the Prairie dogs playing, that’s probably better than watching TV And it’s nice that you can pet the horses even though you can’t ride them. I think they are beautiful animals So I hope you have a good weekend! And I’ll look forward to hearing about any new happenings in your “neck of the woods”! |
