The number of people with vast tattoos seems to be growing. I even see people who consider themselves to be spiritual with massive tattoos. Women included. Some showing them when doing a reading, other having very long sleeves up to her fingers to hide the tattoos. One has them on her fingers.
Kyle Gray, famous author of books & oracle cards, coach, inspirational speaker, is covered in ink. The back of 1 hand, his arms, legs, and likely more.

Question: if you really liked someone to the point of wanted to be involved with them, would a huge amount of tattoos be a deal-breaker or turn-off for you?


I think I'd constantly have the feeling of, please take that off, I want to touch you!
I don't find it attractive at all, rather off-putting.
To each their own, just wondering how others feel about it.

Tattoos are a complete turn off for me, especially on their face.

Yeah, nothing turns me on more than seeing, "Hector was here" tattooed on a woman's butt.

If everything else was great about the person..I wouldn't mind tattoos (as long as they weren't on the face, because that is just something I cannot understand...believe me, i have tried)

No, i am not contradicting myself...I 'd rather they didn't have any, but, if I met someone who was great insofar as everything else..I'd try and overlook it..

I rather like them, my mate has 3, only one can be seen ;-)

My neighbors both have a lot of tattoos.
Too many for me but I don't have to look at them much.
All my kids have tattoos (not a lot).
I have no tattoos.
My sister has no tattoos.
My mom & dad had no tattoos.
My x had two tattoos.
My current gf has no tattoos.

I think a person can do what they want to themselves.
Someone's tattoos is not what I focus on unless they are prominent, gaudy or very beautiful (some mother-daughter hand tats are really nice).

When I first got married I considered getting wedding ring tats with the x (glad I didn't). My wedding ring got caught on a bolt and I hung from the side of a truck till someone came with a ladder, stopped wearing jewelry at work after that.

I can deal with someone's tattoos better than their piercings, especially weird ones. Pierced ears I don't notice much but any other facial piercing is awful to look at for me. Tongue and lip piercings are repulsive to me. My daughter and x have pierced noses (studs) and I am always telling my daughter she has a booger on her nose.

I have a scar on my eyebrow. I should get a starburst tattoo there. I could tell people I have a twinkle in my eye. Problem is, my eye would probably swell shut.

As for preference, less is more. I've seen some fantastic art as full back tats and I've seen some people that look like they have a tattoo addiction.
Its like the difference between calligraphy and balloon block lettering.

It would depend on the tattoo/tattoos, and how soon I saw them. If I see a man pretty much covered in tattoos, my first reaction is to look the other way. Huge tattoos and arms covered in tattoos are initially a turn off to me.

As far as being a deal breaker, not necessarily. If I meet someone with huge tattoos, the initial attraction most likely won't happen, but if after we've chatted a few times and there was a connection, I'm not going to let the fact that he has painted skin keep me from exploring if there's a solid connection. Unless of course the tattoos were highly offensive to me and grossed me out, which in that case I would most likely avoid him to begin with. There are some tattoos that I think are pretty cool, so if I really liked the guy, the tattoos wouldn't be so bothersome to me.

But, I saw a tramp stamp once.
Was simply the word "Respect".

Now, the last thing I'm gonna think about
when I see a tramp stamp, is respect.
Especially, if it's the word "respect".

I have none myself, but my daughter is an artist who has designed tattoos and has two gorgeous tattoos on herself. They are beautiful. I have friends with sleeves, family with tattoos too. My favorite one is my nephew's wings. They start in his back and go all the way to his arms.
I have asked my daughter to design a tattoo for me that includes her Father's name, my name and her name. I can't wait for the pain of our love to be imprinted on me forever.
My last husband was very artistic and designed his own tattoos too. They were amazing on his back.
I love tattoos myself. Yet am particular about what I want on myself.

Aren't all tattoo lovers particular about their tattoos?
You mention the exact thing I don't understand: Having the pain of something on your body forever.
I do not celebrate pain, I work through pain and move on. If I'd do something like that it'd be to remember the love and bond we had, not the pain. I treasure the great memories, not pain.
Not judging you, just explaining why I don't get reasons for people to get a tattoo.

I don't have any tattoos myself. I have had piercings in the past, not in the face btw, knowing full well that if I'd grow out of it I could simply remove them and no traces of it left.
I have none anymore. I didn't remove them, I lost them one by one, believe it or not.
But tattoos... I love myself and my body too much for that.
I can appreciate a tasteful smaller tattoo, on someone else, hihi.
Most of these larger tattoos are so full that you can barely tell what it is. And many people end up hiding them. Then what's the point?
Often it's required for work so you always have to cover up, even when it's stinking hot. Very inconvenient.

Everyone has to do what they want to do with their body, but I do hope my future man has no tattoos at all. I prefer to feel the real man.
And I seriously do hope my kids never ever go there. My son in law has got many, I hope my girl won't ever get tempted. But I think (hope!) she loves her body too much for that.

On women small is nice, ankles with blue bird etc, small shoulder tat, but not big. Seems to me like crude graffiti on fine artwork, on a pretty girl. Same as a pretty young girl smoking, just a shame.
On guys, who cares; except some are hard to look at with a straight face.

I heard a drunk guy got a tat of something unknown that he liked, in asia. Later home again a friend interpreted its meaning: "I'm an ugly white guy".

That comment was tongue in cheek. It is to remember our bond and love. The pain comes from getting the tattoo.
